Need some advice------

I am planning on putting Flows on my 2010 GT Vert today----

Im not a "technical" guy so i called my local Meneike

Spoke with mechaninc, he said series 40 flows would be the best---they are $150 a piece----

When i asked about instalation fee he cdnt give me a figure bc he said he needs to see the car and see if he might need to F around with the pipiing----(what does "F" around with piping mean?)

Not going to Cats---just mufllers---

Any and all advice would be GREATLEY APPRECIATED

Thanks in advance

As long as they are for a 2010 Mustang GT they should be bolt off the old, bolt on the new. I had the mufflers off my 2011 in 10 minutes, shouldn't be any harder on a 2010.

I was lazy and know a muffler shop guy, they charged me $25 total to put my Magnaflow axle backs on.

Mufflers can be installed in your driveway. Simple to do on the Mustang. No 'F'-ing around with pipes needed as long as you're buying mufflers that are made for the 2010+ Mustang.

I think the exhaust hangars must be changed. The parts are similar but not the same exactly. The mufflers attach differently. Even Evo Perf. made a post about how a local muffler shop could make the change in a snap. So if you have a welder, sure.

Word round the camp fire is that the FRPP mufflers are Borla, so I say win.

Thats only if you're putting a 2010 exhaust on a 2011.

The OP is putting a 2010 exhaust on a 2010..

Alright guys-----

I made up my mind

Im going with the Magnaflow 16574--------

My guy ordered it today, and t will be at his shop mon morning---

$575 for the system, and anywhere from $25-$50 for installation

Next: Which Blower to mount?

PS: You guys think the Magnaflow is a good choice?

PSS: Those that have it do you like it?

PSSS: My car only has 450 miles on the ODO, by changing the back end exhaust can that hurt my "break in" period?

Thanks in advance

Only way it'll screw up the break-in is by encouraging you to hit the gas so you can hear the sweet sweet noise. If you can resist the urge, it will be fine.

sorry, was in the middle of posting when you decided... Magnaflow is a very good brand, just not my favorite on Mustangs. Flowmasters on Fox bodies, Bassani w/ a X-pipe on SN195s and S197s, Borla Stingers w/o changing the H-pipe are my favorites for sound.

As far as blowers go I'm still trying to decide myself between the following.

Roush M90 $4,299 - 435hp
Edelbrock $5,795 - 466hp
Saleen $5,799 - 475hp

I agree, the stingers sounded great with the stock H pipe on my s197, magnaflow isn't my favorite for these cars either but they are a good brand.

I was never the biggest fan of Magnaflow. Its not loud enough for me, though the sound is decent.

Already looking at a blower? Go turbo.
