They should fit although you should check front brake clearance since the 2011 GT front brakes are larger.

The other thing about the 17's is that you would need a very tall sidewall tire to make the diameter match the OEM 18's that come on the car and this will be detrimental to the handling. You would need a 255/50/17 tire to get the diameter right.

I actually only will be using the 2 rears for drag radials, I have 19s on the car from the factory. I am planning on using the M/T 275/40/17s or Nitto NTO5Rs same size. Thoughts?

I do not think they will. I tried my 17" on my 2011 and the calipers rub against the ID of the wheel; the stock GT brake calipers actually rub more on the ID of my wheels than the Brembos !! My 17" are not bullits but have a slightly bigger ID than the bullits.

If you want, you can get the 05-10 caliper brackets + rotors ... your 17" bullits will fit then. The 2011 GT calipers & pads are the same as the 05-10

They should fit the rear, same brakes as a 05-09 on the rear.

275/40's will be really short compared to stock.

What gear in your car?

I have 275x18's on my car and there's about a 1/8" difference from stock. For 17", you have to go to a taller profile (more siderwall).

Ya think 295-45-17 would work?

appologies in advance for a minor hi-jack:

Will the "standard" 17" wheels fit on a 2010 GT or do I need something special?

I'm planning to get a set of 17" wheels with narrower/taller snow tires for the winter.

(yes it will be very painful to see "Ruby" covered with salt, but I have no choice)

With the 3.31's the short tire could help since it would be like going with a lower gear and a tall tire so the 275/40/17 drag radials may work well for you or even the wider 315/35/17's that are about the same height.

2010 GT has the same brakes as the 05-09 so the 17's will fit no problem.

Sweet thank you- JJ @ WMS also confirmed that this is the same set up on his 2011 GT.

another thing to consider is whether the width of the DRs will work with the width of the wheels

the 17 inch stock wheels are 8 inches wide

what is the max width for DRs on these wheels?
maybe the 275s, but i doubt the 295s will work, i would think you would need a 10 inch wheel width for that
