Need opinions: Track wheel. 2 options help me pick
Ok TMS I need your opinion I am torn. I am picking new track wheels and I am between two sets of wheels.
For reason that aren’t important to the thread these are the only two options.
I can get new silver Boss R1 wheels or used for one weekend Forgeline Competition GA3R's in high polish.
They are the same size and both weigh between 20and 21 pounds (crazy light for the size).
The GA3R is a 3 piece wheel and the Boss R1 wheel is a one piece. However I run time trials so reparability due to running into other cars isn’t very important.
FYI:
I also don’t like chrome or high polish things very much.
Here are some pics of the wheels.

The Forgeline 's in question (and on the car they came from):

R1's? I've not heard of those...are they the 2010 302R 18x10's that list for $650 or the 2012 302S 18x9.5's that list for $700?
The look and weight is awesome...just that they're twice what I was figuring on spending.

The wheel is technically a Boss R wheel but it came from the Boss R1 race car and thats how I know the wheel from grand am.
It used to be called an R1 doesnt really matter what its called....
$650 for a race wheel is STUPID STUPID cheap.
The Forgelines in this thread were $997.00 new each!!!!!!

Those wheels are a street wheel.
They are light though.

I only wash the wheels after I get back from an event. 2 days x ~5 sessions per day
I would expect white wheels to last 2-3 sessions before finish damaged occurred.

Good call...dam, I wish I didn't like 'em so much. You recon they'd be a bit much for a fart like me that just hot rods his car around canyon curves? How do you get into road racing...I've even been wanting raised white letters on my tires.
