Need Help with Tire size for GT 8.5 Rim

Simplest way I could think of asking the question for 2008-2011 GT

Will the stock GT tires, size 18 x 235 x 50 work on a Ford Factory Chrome 5 spoke rim 18 x 8.5, 50mm offset?

I believe the current 18 inch wheels I have with this size tire are only 8 inches wide.

Considering going with the Ford Factory Chrome Bullitt 5 spoke wheels

Trying to understand if I will need new tires for this with rim.

Thanks

The tires will fit just fine, no problem at all.

235/50 will be fine. I run 275's on a 9.5 w/45mm offset and it's great.

You can run a 255 width tire like the 2011 V6 PP does on an 8.5" rim, it is the minimum rim width required for a 255 tire. Optimum would probably be a 245 tire. The stock 235's would also work great with that rim width. I just hate the A/S tires that they put on the car.

The brembo wheels are great, but they really should have been 9.5. Would have given us many more options in terms of tire availability.
