Currently a Corvette Owner!
New Continental Extreme Contact DW 255/40 19 tires on my nickel wheels (2011 Mustang GT Premium). I thought the new size might have some negative issues (sidewall bulge, look small in wheel-well, vibration, speedometer, etc.). I'm happy to report that I have NONE of these issues. The tires look amazing on the nickel wheels (19 x 8.5), the steering response is quicker, and the feel is great. I'm very happy with my upgrade. Ford Country in Henderson Nevada was awesome, they price-matched the tires (Tire Rack), no shipping, mount & balance, and they recalibrated my speedometer and TPMS. Total price out the door was $1150. I highly recommend this tire size upgrade to anyone with nickel wheels (obviously not for cold and snow). And to be extra nice, Ford slapped on my Shelby GT 500 axle-back mufflers for free! The car is perfect now!

19 inch snows are not cheap as I found out last year, so I went with a set of 18 inch rims and snows which with this setup ran about the same as just 19" snows. Now I have the beauty of pulling my Brembo 19's and putting on the 18" snows without having to keep pulling tires of rims and doing a swap twice a year.

My 07 has the Eibach Sportline Springs and is slammed. I have 20x8.5's all around with 255/35/20 tires. I intend to get a 20x10 on the back and step up to a 305 on the rear and a 275 on the front. I would advise to run 275's all around for the greater traction. There is plenty of room in the wells for a tire of that caliber and take it from someone who has put the car sideways a few times, 275's are the way to go... IMHO of course.

They are MSR 18". I got them last winter and picked them up with snows for $400 for the set with the snows as a package deal. They clear the BB nicely BUT not all non Fords will clear as I did like another set but the claipers hit the rim / spokes.
