Navy Federal CU offering 1.99% for 36 mos

If you have an account it takes a few minutes to get approved and get your check. If you don't have an account... FIND A WAY TO GET ONE!

It's not the 0% that Ford was offering but it's still pretty darn good.

*Disclaimer: Not all borrowers will qualify. Some deadbeats may be given a much higher rate or no loan at all.

Same here. I never served in the military, but I work for a govt. contractor.

What actually happened is my GF also works for a govt. contractor and signed up that way. Then I was qualified because I live with her.

Find a way. Navy Federal is pretty kick ***.

I'm embedded in an Army unit right now and I'd have to say I'd stab myself with a sequoia before I'd ever be in the army full-time. Just sayin'.

And NFCU is open to all active duty members and then some (except for coast guard, apparently those guys can go **** themselves).

Coast Guard is Dept. of Transportation so they have to get their own credit union.

And technically they're supposed to be under the Navy in times of war...

about the Coast Guard!

I only say/support the Army because I'm in it. That's all, I can't wait to leave. You are right though, way too much BS in the Army. I only would have stayed if they would have put in writing that I could go Aviation as a Warrant Officer and AH-58D/UH-60/AH-64 pilot.

Otherwise I'd go civilian a.k.a. the Air Force aviation. The only other thing that would have broken me would have been the opportunity to go SF or any SOCOM sector. Maybe not SEAL's just too much time in the water.
