Name the Color!

Ford is allowing enthusiasts to pick the name of the gold color we've seen on the teaser shots posted at The2010Mustang.com. This will be a one year, limited-edition color. Vote now!

Same here. Like a metallic orange. I'm down for Gold Nugget. haha. Halcyon Gold sounds good.

don't know the gm line up that well but do they not already have a sunset on the vette?

i hate it when other company have the same names for the colors. and using grabber i do not care for unless it is to be considered a future heritage color to go with the grabber line. gold nugget is gheigh and now i must google the other name as i do not know it's origin...:read: i voted fire because that gives you the idea of an orange being in it as it does not really appear gold, at least it is not like the new edge gold!

edit: i can not find anything but company names and the like for Halcyon, what is the significance of that name for the color?

i didn't know what Halcyon was so i looked it up..

Halcyon (IPA: /ˈhælsiən/), a term that originates from the Greek myth of Alcyone, is used most often to mean golden or marked by peace and prosperity.

Seems kind of redundent if it means golden being golden gold but most people wouldn't know what it meant so i can see why they'd do it.

So i voted for Halcyon Gold casue it sounded kinda cool.

Talking

In 1966, Ford celebrated the Millionth Mustang with a short run of ANNIVERSARY GOLD cars, it would seem fitting to celebrate the 45th anniversary!

On the other hand, for the 5.0 powered GT, how about GOLD RUSH!

Another play on recent color names, GOLDFIRE

I've got to say sunset gold, that would have the orange in it, plus it doesn't sound pretentious like the first color.
