I doubt a lower modification ceiling on a stock longblock vs a 5.0 stock longblock. Rebuilt engine for engine, then yes. But a boosted V6 with a factory forged set is pretty **** good. The 3000GT/Stealth RT community does pretty good on old factory internals (also a DOHC TT V6 with close displacement). If a tune only 4550 lb. brick of a car SHO can impress with 12.75@108 mph, then I think a car about 1000 lbs. lighter could do better (granted the SHO is AWD, but c'mon). And if that same car received full bolt-ons, DRs, suspension that is set for the quarter, and upgraded turbos........yeah. And the top end and bottom end untouched. I cant see a stock longblock 5.0 besting that. Im not saying the 5.0 doesnt have potential, but it is limited to it displacement. Yeah, a SC can be thrown on but do I really have to explain this dynamic of whats modding a stock NA vs. stock FI. Basically it probably would be a little brother to the GT500, as the base V6 is to the GT. Im not wrapped up in the V8 stigma.

And define HUGELY or at least in terms compared to another engine swap. I think more 2011 and up V6 would take well in this for this swap in contrast to a factory V8 car like a GT (if the F-150 is to get this treatment).

I am with you, I want to see an EB in the car too, I was just talking dollar for dollar, the swap would be more expensive than what you get out of a 5L (different story if Ford put the EB in stock). Also, "money is no object modification ceiling" I was alluding to would probably go to the 5L as well. It is the middle of the road where the discussion gets interesting.

Any idea how much power a stock EB can take? It would be interesting to compare a maxed out "stock" EB and a maxed out "stock" Coyote, dollar for dollar.

The problem is, with the EB, you have to factor in the cost of the swap, and that is where the EB starts to not make sense (soundtrack aside). Not to mention, all the issues with the electronics that have to be worked out, plus warranty and reliability issues.

That being said, I would LOVE to see (even help) a shop do it.
