Caramel colored # sign says "Check Digit", mine says 7, anybody know what it stands for?

And the C5 is 2012, 5 being Michigan plant, why do I call Canada phone line if thats the case? we have a Ontario plant!!

A check digit is gotten by some algorithm to verify that the VIN is a valid number. On regular UPC bar codes on items in the store, the last small number is the check digit. Basically makes it hard(er) to make up a valid VIN number.

Just out of curiosity, the "P8CF" part of your VIN could mean either GT, Boss, or GT350... What'd you get?

Oh buddy I'm excited for you. Mine got a cool build date too. 11/11/11! Can't wait to see that Silver beast. If you do the kona stripes on it, and I do silver we can be negative images lol. That would be a sweet photo.

 

P8C makes it a GT body, F means 5.0 412HP..I got a GT

holy cow 4 months, lucky it got pulled.. 2/20 is the last week of production for '12.
my cousin ordered one at the end of Aug and she got it first week in Oct only 6 weeks

 

yes that makes sense heres what happened:

when I wanted to put an order, the dealer said they ran out of slots for the entire province(state).. we had employee pricing in summer with great savings, everyone ordered a custom ford. One day the manager called my back and said the regional manager pushed one more order available for me, so if mine is one the last ones to be built I won't be surprized

I called up the dealer "thought I should let you know I got my vin and possible date, you may wanna update things on your end too" Manager chick goes "omg I was just gonna call you today I received the paperwork this morning! Congratulations buddy, Where did you get your info??.." .........** "I got my sources" *TROLLFACE*


I would SOOO meet up in Seattle WA for photoshoot if you can

 

Just ran the milage from my house to the public market downtown Seattle. 1960 miles. That might be a bit far for a photo shoot! Lol let me rephrase, photoshop trip!

 

TOGAN congrats buddy. Very happy for you. About time eh? What I find weird is.... you literally ordered a week after mine. How/Why is your stang getting built/delivered FIVE months after you ordered it, or 4 months after mine was delivered? That's weird.

I might have to be in on the photoshoot.

Also, how did you do a screen capture on your ipad????

Hahaa thanks buddy finally some progress!!! even though you and I ordered around the same time, canadians' orders got put in queue so thats what the wait was for.

Capture screen: hit the sleep button+home button together, you hear a flash sound, then look under photos

 

Hey guess i got lucky too! Dealer ordered mine 12-7-11 and Deysha gave me an update today with VIN and build the last wek too 2-20.

 

I can't wait until you get it, JP Ford! I'm ready for the pictures.
