I went with the same % on mine. Darker is nice .. but I hate driving at night with super dark windows .... I think a dark car makes tint look lighter .. and a light color car makes tint look darker ...

I think you hit the nail on the head, man. I remember on my white Z, I had the same tint, but yet it looked much darker. On this car, it looks lighter for some reason, even if both interiors were black. Hmmmm optical illusion, or I got ripped off somewhere. LOL.

Get this, this is hilarious..so I called the manager about the whereabouts blah blah we talked(March 2nd), she says "theres a guy in his late 20s wanting to see what a GT looks like(that dealership has no GT in stock) I told him we're getting one in (mine) and that I'll give you a call once it arrives to take a look" apparently he wants to see what the exterior looks like. who's to say he wont ask to test it around the block right? even if he did like the exterior he cant order the same because the style has changed..

shes goes "he just wants to eye-ball it from the outside, we're not gonna let him inside, its urs." i wait 6 months AND they use my ride as a demo to sell more..she ended it by saying "I'll give him a call before you come down"
I was like

btw, when's your car coming??? If your dealership gets a 2013 in before your 12 comes, demand an even trade!

After the sht they pull on me, impossible!!

It's illegal but I've done the same % on sides and windshield on my last 3 mustangs. Never had a cop around here(nashville) say anything about it. Took about a day or two to get used it. But it took a lot of the sun glare and headlight glare away. No need to wear sunglasses all the time. Took my uncle for a ride a few months ago at night and he didn't notice till I told him. He liked it. And I won't ever own a car without the windshield done.

Sunny and mid 70's in Nashville today and u can barely see my steering wheel. Can't see past the dash looking in from over 6-8ft. At night and on overcast days u can't see into it but I are out just fine.

It would have been more like 5-10 times a year up here. Plus the added headache of informing them of my CCW.

Nope, it's illegal everywhere. Doesn't stop some people. I'm not a fan of less forward visibility mods, such as windshield or headlight tint.

Oops, I see you put 'windshield tinting', read your post too fast!

I live in Nashville and you would be surprised to see how many cars and trucks around here have tinted windshields. It doesn't affect visibility at all. U can still see the headlights of other of cars thru ur tinted side Windows right? It's the same for the windshield. And my windshield is only done at 50%. A friend of mine is done at 35%. That's a lil harder to see out of. U would def be surprised if u got to ride in a car with it done. I told u I've had countless people ride in the car and only a few said they could tell from looking out. U can always tell when ur outside the car trying to look in. Thanks for the comments to those gave them. It's dark but I almost went darker a couple of.months ago on the side and back glass. 5% limo but I'm happy how it looks and get compliments all the time.

50% windshield tint is just perfect you can see out perfectly it's kinda like wearing barley tinted sunglasses also not getting blinded by every d-bag that but hids in and never aimed them is a plus too.

Amen. Thanks. With dark sunglasses it is hard to see. But I haven't had to wear sunglasses in 4yrs.

California has the most ridiculous tint laws....until recently you couldn't have ANY tint on your passenger windows, now you can't go darker than 70%...I'm not sure there is even a point to tinting 70%.
