My MT82 shifts beautifully

Absolutely no problems here. Wonder how many others feel the same way?

Agree, no issues here either, love the shifting. Obviously there are vehicles that do have issues - where there is smoke there is fire. Sounds like it is the luck of the draw.

There was a TSB out on the TR3650 to fix that.

After 13,000 miles my MT82 seems to be holding up and performing just fine.

True. But it might be annoying if everyone who smoked without getting cancer or who has an MT82 that didn't grind went around telling everyone.

But since we're in that place:

My transmission is fine; I didn't get cancer from smoking in my youth; I never broke a bone in sports; and I served my country without getting shot.

It's great to be lucky or blessed!

Transmission is fine... no grinding, gnashing or whining... LOVE the shift/RPM ratios... all good!

Shift linkage feels like it was designed by a dropout from "mechanical linkage design school", and the Quality Control was done by a three year old who hasn't had her nap yet... IMO, poorly spaced gates, unpredictable crossover from 1/2 to 3/4 to 5/6

What were they thinking when they put reverse LEFT, FORWARD and DOWN? Putting the gate to the far right and aft is perfect - the control is moving the direction the car will go, and it is **** near impossible to get the gear lever in the reverse gate unless you're trying to...

I actually like reverse in it's current location. And I haven't had any issues accidentally engaging reverse... just don't push down on the gear lever and you're fine.

Ripping gears and smoking tires.... 6,000miles and climbing. I can't stay out of it. Love this car. Just gave her her weekly bath today.

You know what they say about when you lose something, it's always in the last place you look!

I had the sticking clutch pedal problem, but absolutely no tranny problems. Just came back from CA and driving my old 05, and boy, what a difference in the shifting. The MT82 is sp much smoother/better.
