I have been keeping a log in an excel sheet of my fill ups and mpg. I got my 2013 GT w/ 3.73's in May. My lowest mpg on a tank was 18.5 and highest has been 20.6. Excel says my average is 19.4. I didn't keep track of my fill ups on a recent 1100 mile round trip for vacation or else my average would be higher. At one point the screen was saying I was averaging 25.2 mpg. I think that's the highest I have ever seen it go. Long stretches of highway help
Guys nothing is wrong. Its part of the break-in process. If you bought your car new yoid know what im talking about. As your car breaks in youll see the number go up. Its not reflecting actual mpg's, the computer is learning how you drive
Correct on the breaking in results. I now have 30k on my GT with 3.73 and I average about 17 MPG on city driving and thats with my lead foot. Oh and if you stop tracking your gas consumption you'll enjoy the car WAY more. Just fill up and GO!

Heck i dont even care about gas in my sixxer! Lead foot still gets around 19-20 city so its not as bad as you guys but i still enjoy the crap outta my car and mpg's arent a concern! Just drive it like Mr.Ford would want you to.
I agree completely - you can't judge your MPG by the computer during the first few fillups (or until 1k miles). comp said I was getting 12 with mostly city driving first 1k miles, now I'm at 17 and I don't try to conserve. I get 25 if I do a road trip (still not conserving)... I'm now at 1.8k miles and all seems perfectly normal with the computer MPG and actual.
His mileage is going to jump 6 to 9 MPG after it "breaks in"? I can certainly understand 1, maybe 2 MPG difference on a fresh engine, but 6 to 9 MPG more because it's "breaking in"?

Little word of advice to all.
Coming here is a great place for answers to questions ad what not, but youd be amazed at what a lil reading can do. Or a quick google search to get the answers you need
Mine was ok right off the bat. I started with less than 30 miles on the car and was getting about 23 on the freeway that 1st weekend and have been getting around 21 with a good mix of street/highway/fun driving. Granted after it finished breaking in, it got better but not 6-9 mpg better. I agree that something doesnt seem quite right.

I have been seeing 20-21 in mixed driving, 16ish in all city, and 24-26 highway in mine. It even has the track pack setup. Next weekend will be it's first time on track and I'm expecting single digits. I am also still in the "break-in" period at 3500 miles.
