Wow, the worst report I've read on this site pertaining to an accident. Glad you came out alright; speedy recovery on those headaches. Sounds like they are telling you something.

Jeff... so sorry to hear about your situation. But am thankful you are ok.

On the other hand... you do know, you may have a case for suing Ford right? The fact that the car did not do what it was supposed to do in case of an accident...... well you know how that goes. I know it won't heal your injuries any faster, but just saying....

best of luck. And keep us informed on the updates.

Dang Jeff! Glad you are healing up! You are in our prayers.

I had a date thing for some years where things kept popping up. It is weird. I countered fate/faced down the evil/whatever it was by scheduling postive things - incl forming my trust on that date just for a big FU. A few years went back and forth but finally I conquered it with positives. I don't even pay attention to that date anymore.

Also hope somebody explores why the airbags didn't deploy.

Jeff, glad you're healing up. Good to have you back online!

As for the airbags, the crash severity sensors look for head-on impacts for the front airbags, and sideways deceleration for the side airbags. Getting hit in the corner (at an angle) often isn't enough deceleration straight on or from the side to trigger either types of airbags (basic vector physics at play here, friends).

The dealership I work for is right across a 5 lane road (center suicide lane) from a very busy nursery where way too many people turn left out of there trying to cross 4 or 5 lanes of fast traffic. We see an accident or two every week and many are hit in the front corner of the car as they are turning left (much like Jeff's scenario). Airbags often do not go off in this situation and we see ALL brands of vehicles getting hit like this regularly (why our city doesn't put a traffic light in is a whole seperate issue, by the way). So, it is not a Ford specific issue for corner hits not firing airbags.

Wow, Jeff, glad you are alright! I think its cool that we have a group here where some people actually notice when some people haven't been active. I'm relatively new here, but I have read so many threads where you have helped people out, and it shows in their support for you. Cheers!

Geez bud...glad to hear you're ok, but take care of your head. Hematomas are REALLY bad things. Make sure you keep track of any oddities you notice and let the dr. know about them. Sorry to hear about the accident and it's good to have you back here. I've been wondering where you've been.
