My 2011 GT - Here in 20 days... Dyno and Track in 21 :)

I have been lurking the forum for a while and post on other forums quite a bit. I'd thought I'd make an account and say hi.

I had a 2007 GT with intake, tune, FRPP cams, spydershaft among other things, sold it 2 months ago for my 5.0L. I guess New Hampshire gets 5.0's last or something, because mine is scheduled for 5/31. Out of 5 big dealers int he area, that coincides with their first delivery as well

My 5.0 is Sterling Gray, Brembos with 3.73's, Security pack, comfort pack. Already bought a Rosuh spoiler for it as well. Got it for invoice when I ordered it 2/10/10. ASAP I'll have my professional photographer friend take some epic shots and have them up immediately.

Within the first 36 hours I will have the car strapped to a dynojet. My tuner is VERY knowledgeable and given he can get the 2011 codes from SCT we will be working on a custom tune for the car/ He says it will have to be started from step 1 and might take up to five hours. It will have a JLT intake and possible catless H pipe ASAP

We will be trying to use the Ti-VCT to dial in some valve overlap and get a rougher "cammed" idle. I'll be posting before/after graphs ASAP. I plan on breaking the car in on the dyno, and then heading to New England Dragway with my 275 Racemasters and seeing what this 5.0L can do.

I know this is kind of a pointless thread, but I'm excited so whatever.

I definitely will keep everyone informed...

He said it will take a lot of time to get the tune from the ground up. But, I trust him. I loved his tune on my 07 mustang

Glad to know I am not the only one "waiting" so long

It seems like everyone already has theirs, and they placed their order after mine

If JLT does not have an intake by 6/3, we will be tuning the car completely stock

Interested to see how much gains can be had with ONLY a tune. His dyno typically reads a bit low, but the gains is all I care about

Alright that makes me feel better.

Any body got exhaust tips yet?

I really like the Roush Extreme Catback. I called Roush and they said their kit for the 5.0's will be out very soon. Havent decided if I want a catless midpipe yet. If I go catless, the Roush exhuast will be too loud (no mufflerds just 2 resonators)

I'll be doing 15% tint on the rear windows, roush spoiler, BMR LCA's immediately. More mods as soon as they come out

I am very excited. I have been mustangless for 3 months. Can't wait to start breaking that 5.0L in.

I have a lot of friends waiting to get a crack at her in some 40 rolls as well.

Hmmm, finally had enough time to call the dealer and get my VIN.

Only thing, I tried to use that VIN checker to get a window sticker, but the website/link is down. Any insight on that?

The window sticker won't be available until about a week before the scheduled build date.

The car has already been built and is in the delivery process with an ETA of 5/31. (At least says my dealer)

What is the link to check the window sticker? Every time I open it it says access forbidden

That is pretty strange. There have been a couple of instances where people have received the wrong VIN. Here's a link, just put your VIN in place of the X's.

Thanks GREATLY

Can't wait to get her and put her on the dyno. Hopefully SCT gets the codes soon
