Guys and gals, today is obviously a special day for us Mustang fans.

I know the Ford v GM rivalry goes back years, but I've alway found the Mustang fans to be very respectful of the oposition. I know we're not always welcome on their forums, but lets take the moral high-ground here and continue to respect our GM (and Chrysler) rivals.

I don't believe anyone's crossed any lines today, but just remember it's a fine line to tread. I'd like to think an GM/Camaro fans would feel welcome here.

I love the fact we are in another muscle car "war", but lets keep it civil

I just don't like the attitudes of some Camaro owners. It's like a cult that brain washes some of their victims and takes away all sense of reason.

I may be wrong but I don't see anyone here even remotely acting like they do on Camaro5. I'll admit I don't go to many other Mustang forums. Apparently the IMBOC appear to be somewhat like that from what others have said but I don't know that for fact. Anyway. I can take the higher ground because its easy. I don't give a flying **** what those people that act like that over on Camaro5 think. If I did care, I should be worried about my own mental health.

They are good for a laugh though.

 

When I'm looking for childish ball swinging and gobs of misinformation, I find that youtube video comments never disappoint.

Someone post a link on this thread whenever a media outlet finally posts a decent comparison article, regardless of what cars it includes, so long as it has a 2011 Mustang V6 or GT in it. It will surely include a Camaro, but it would be a lot of fun if they threw in some others as well, like the 370Z.

 

I think this is great that Ford wasted little time matching the new Mustang up to the Camaro. I'm not going to lie I remember when the '10 model came out with carryover motors thinking "not the 4th gen pony wars again..."

Now Chevy guys can't dog the Mustang's performance (can't even b*tch about a supercharger) now people can use personal preference instead of practicality vs performance.

I have to tip my hat to GM's new Camaro because it has helped Ford put out these big guns. For the first time ever I am seriously considering getting a V6 Mustang!

I concur. there are lots of things about the new maro that i like. I think a little bit of rivalry and smack talk is all good and well, but lets all remember, the real enemies of ours arent GM, chrysler, bavaria, hyundai or even Japanese cars.

Agreed! I've never seen that kind of behavior here on TMS. No matter what anyone thinks of the Mustang we DEFINITELY have the better forum, by a long shot.

When I looked up that motivational poster I found one that said

"Obama and Baby Seals...they both get clubbed by Scandinavians."

I was gonna post it for its fail, but even I couldn't do that. Obviously the person that made it couldn't tell the difference between Obama and Tiger Woods.
