Absolutely. One of the options I think should become standard.

Ignorance is bliss in my case. Never had 'em in any car, have no problems seeing without them so I pocketed the cash

It's 2011, not 1990. Every car should have HID as standard. It's a safety feature imo.

I think the car looks meaner with the HID's.

HID is a lot cleaner and better looking than the regular halogen IMO. Also, part of the reason I wanted them was less orange up front and to get away from the 05-09 lighting look.

And while it was less orange- I still swapped out the turn signal bulb.
Orange free (except when in use)

HIDs are orders of magnitude better than the halogen lights, both because the HIDs are so good, and because the halogens are so bad.

Once you have them you'll never know why didn't get them sooner. Everything is clearer. So much safer. Definitely worth it. Should be standard by now.

Same here but I have driven a Porsche with them. While it is brighter and you can see a little more I also didn't see it's worth in the cost. It's opinion but I also did not like the look of the HIDs as opposed to the halogens. Not to mention I loathe drivers that blind me with their HIDs but maybe the mustang's arent that bright?

The only ones that are blinding are the aftermarket HID kits that aren't properly spec'd for a given housing. OEM setups are no worse than a halogen housing, even in oncoming traffic.

Ehhhhh not 100% true....

I had the Euro edition SVT focus with HIDs and ALWAYS got complaints/flashed while driving at night... Told numerous times they were crazy blinding.... I couldnt go 5 miles at night without getting flashed.

BUT like someone else said, once you have them you cant go back. I didnt get them on my 09 and reallllly missed them...so on the 12 it was one of the first options I knew i had to have.

I think they look better on the Shelby GT500. I like the look of the halogens on the GT. I think it's something visually with the different grills.

I agree that they should be standard. Driven plenty of cars with them as a valet. Everything is so much brighter and more clear at night time.
