I respect the V6 and Ford did a great job. I just would rather have the sound of a V8 in the background. If I were to get a 2010 with the 11s just around the corner I will just wait. It will be a better investment on my part and in the long run be cheaper. If my parents were buying me the car I would be more then happy with a V6. The 5.0 just seems like an overall better deal.

Here is something to think about. There is a $7,000 difference between the '10 v6 and GT. Let's assume that difference stays the same. Since you are young, I figure 5.9% is the best you can hope for. Maybe I'm wrong. So- 5.9% over 5 years = $19.29 per $1,000 financed. Multiply that by $7k and you get $135.03 / mo. difference between the 6 and the GT.

If Ford builds the GT with Camaro SS HP+1, you would be paying $1.11 per added hp per month for the GT over the V6.

If the number is the long guesstimated 400, then you would be paying $1.42 per added hp per month.

Only you can decide what it is worth to you to you.

That is some good info to know. Thanks for the break down. The V6 is probably all I would need in a car but I can't pass up the sound of the V8 in a mustang.
