Mustang 2014 V6 Advice please

Hello Everybody,

I've sold my Mazda MX-5 NC 2007 Hardtop and I want to buy a Ford Mustang (Export to Israel)

After some work and research I decided to go for a 2014 Mustang V6 Base
MSRP $22,510
- Color: Oxford white - $0
- Interior: Charcoal Black - $0
- 6-Speed Select Shift Automatic Transmission - $1195
- Tech Package (102A) - $1295
- FP6 Apperance Package - $795
- Destination Charge: $825 (New Jersey for exporting to my country: Israel)

- Reverse Sensing System & Security Package** - $695
- Ebony hood and slide stripes** - $395
- Left & Right Side Scoop** - $225 (I understood it does not come from Ford already assemblied and needs to be painted by dealer??)

TOTAL: MSRP $27,935** / $26,620
** Hesitating if to take those options

For cash deal, is it possible to buy one for a $21K ?

Any other advices/recommendations would be gladly appreciated.

They are still new, not sitting on lots wasting away so even if you paid cash, you'll still be paying sticker price.

After rebates/incentives I paid right around $22,000 out the door for my V6. I believe the price before rebates was a bit over $27,000 (after taxes and such).

I don't know how rebates work for those out of the country (i.e. if you are able to get all of them), but for a cash sale I had almost $5,000 in rebates. This includes the Mustang brochure cash (you sign up for a brochure on the Ford website, and they *might* send you $750 in incentives, not everyone gets it), and cash for turning in a leased vehicle so your rebates might be less. I also got X plan pricing.

You can get the info. on www.ford.com. You can build the car as you like, see the MSRP, and under "Shopping Tools" you can find the rebates/incentives. All of this info. if for the USA. Are in the US, and want to take the car with you or are you ordering from Israel? The reason I ask is a stated I don't know how the rebates, etc. work out of the US.

As far as the X-Plan you will need to be a member of a group, or work for a Company that has contracted with Ford for it's employee's to receive the X-Plan.

Hmm.. What would be the difference in time of receiving a car from ford to the dealer when building my own car via ford website vs buying from a dealer's inventory ?

It takes roughly 8 weeks to get a car that you ordered. It took me only 6, it has taken others a bit over 8. It depends on what you order, and how the stock is at the factory. So there's no hard and true guideline for how long it takes, but expect a couple months for it to get to the dealer.

I see... and the dealers in the US are keeping pre-customed brand new 2014 mustangs that can be taken at the same day ?

Most dealers I've been to have a couple Mustangs on the lot. If you go to the Ford website you can build whatever car you want, then search dealer inventories to see what is available on hand.

Well there is a difference.. the V6 I'm seeking for MSRP is $27000 with discounts is $24,000 .. I'm sure the dealer can give more discounts..

GT costs much more now.. 2014 GT AT with FP8 Appreance package, Tech Package, Reverse&Security Package MSRP $36k.. I'm sure there are discounts and rebates .. so lets say $32k. If I remove the tech package and the apperance, we're at ~ $30k

I saw that you sold your MX-5 NC Miata. I traded my 2008 MX-5 Miata, soft top Marble for and 14 v-6 Premium Mustang convertible. Why not go for a vert? As they said, however, in Repo Man, the Miata was the best damned car in the lot when it was sold agin with only 8,000 miles

Unfortunately, Israeli taxes are huge.. Just for example, when I buy a $23 car from the US, I pay $52 to get it into my country. and a Vert insurance is twice the price of a regular car so .. Its not an option for me right now :/

Retal, might I suggest you contact Deysha (our resident Ford Angle, and Customer Rep.) here on the forum. She may be able to answer all of your questions concerning rebates/incentives, build time, and ship time. If not, I'm sure she will get you in contact with someone that can.

Thanks for the mention, wanted33. I’ll only be able to assist Retal with build info if he actually orders one.

Please PM me with the dealer’s name and order number if you do, Retal.
