MT82 Quieter/Smoother WITH Skip-Shift?
Call me crazy...
Earlier this week I called Bama to get some tune updates which I uploaded to the car yesterday. In driving the car a bit last night and on the way to work this morning, I swear the transmission feels just a tad bit smoother and maybe a little quieter as well. I realized this morning that Bama forgot to remove the Skip-Shift feature on my Street tune, so I'm wondering if that might have anything to do with it?
I haven't had any transmission issues other than those normal to the operation of any direct-input style unit. A little bit of notch when cold and some faint whine (all of my previous MTs in a number of different cars have exhibited this whine). It just seems like after the tune the transmission is just a little bit quieter and a little bit smoother.
I think it's all in my head but just figured I'd throw it out there for discussion in case I'm not alone in my thinking.

CRAZY!!
I think you may just be "wishing it so". All skip shift is is a solenoid that prevents shifting via the shifter into 2nd and 3rd and "forces" you to go to 4th. No internals with SS.

Skip shift doesn't prevent you from shifting to third, only second.
There is nothing in the skip shift to have anything to do with the shift smoothness issues that anybody has had.

Having driven the car a little more today, I think it's just in my head. The throttle with the updated tune is a lot smoother than previously, so that's probably making shifts a little bit smoother in casual driving.
