Re-read my points. Nowhere have I said that a v8 can't be modded to be better than my car. I would expect that it would be just that...better. And read my last point I just made too. I get your points and your points are exactly what I'm saying. A modded GT will cost more money than a base GT since you have to pay for those packages. That brembo package costs money you know. As far as warranties? My car is up on the bumper to bumper which is why I've started adding more mods now. So that Brembo warranty would be moot at this point. And before you misinterpret this, I'm NOT insulting the Brembo package. It's a great package. It just wasn't the plan I had with mods, with spending the money up front. I wanted to incrementally improve my car over time and slowly turn it more and more into a track car. This way I could control what mods I wanted, at the time I felt I wanted them.

See Bucko...this is what happens It never fails.

Bottom line some people just want to mod their cars. For us Mustangs enthusiast we have two choices:

1. Pay 30K for GT + mod
2. Pay 23K for V6 + mod

He choose option number 2 and he likes it, end of story.

Nobody is hating on anyone here. Jeez.

It was another v6 owner disagreeing with him about the whole v6/v8 sound and trying to point out the OPs slightly offensive wording about it.

Now quite playing the victim and let see some pics of the mods

It started with GT owners questioning the point of modding a V6 vs buying a GT. I own a GT and that line of thinking gets tiresome even for me. It just isn't necessary and doesn't add anything worthwhile to the thread.

Sound, just like looks, are subjective. So there is no point in arguing either side. Heck, someone with a 4banger could come in here and say theirs modded sounds better than a v8. Lol

Point is, you love your car...period, and none of us can take that away. Congrats on the mods. Don't mind the other comments.

Thanks both FromZto5 and Thomas. And exactly, there is a lot of subjectiveness and we all have our own plans with our cars and there's no need to criticize each other for the direction that is chose!

Shrug. Not sure why anyone would put money into modding a 6. You've probably spent more than it would have cost to buy a GT that would actually sound like a real Mustang AND still have a warranty...

You don't understand the purposes of mods. Fair enough. Not everybody has fun with their car or understands what is needed to have a good track car whether it's a v8 or a v6.

I disagree completely. I ditched my v6 because I felt like my exhaust note sounded like a Honda without mufflers. I had bbk headers and a borla exhaust. Biggest waste of money ever.

Sounds like someone is upset that the new 3.7 would smoke your 08 GT.
