Mileage from your Pirelli PZeros

My car just hit 19,000 miles and the factory PZeros are already worn out. Ive never done standing burn outs or anything like that. I don't drive the car like a grandma but by no means have abused it either.

I am assuming ford used really soft (and cheap!) compound for these tires.

Anyone else?

Any of these performance tires get no mileage. My sumitomos only got 15,000 miles. They are a soft compound for traction

Currently at 26,000 miles with about 15-20% left. Will probably make it to 30k (I do a lot of highway driving).

Rotate often!

these are performance tires and in no way are they going to last as long as a normal tire. Also do not forget these cars make alot of power and that power is channeled though these tires to the ground. Ford did not build these tires so what does ford have to do with it? How many sports cars have you owned?

Go look up the reviews and data on discounttire.com and tirerack.com

The best set of tires I ever owned lasted about 10k miles.

I know all of this. Thanks for the info, just asking how many miles you have before they were replaced

my 2006 gt vert had 15k miles

my 2007 whippled gt had 5k miles

I think the most I ever seen someone had on a stock set of tires was 31k

I got 15k with 4 autocross events and stock alignment. Not wise, I know. But you asked :-)

What size? Which PZeros? I'm curious...

The just taken off PZero Nero M+S 235/55 R17s got 37K miles on them. They were *well* done, but hey, I got max life outta them. 5000 miles rotated on the button, 32 PSI, reasonable driving with lots of 'gettheheckuptothespeedlimitquickly-itis' and a few power shifts here and there.

Of course, this is on a 2006 Mustang GT, not a 2010 or 2011, so I dunno if that is any help to anyone. If it's not, well, I apologize.

/The 77K start on these is... weird, so I'm gonna rotate them at 80K and go on from there. Makes it easy, oil and tires, swap 'em!

I have just hit 40,000 miles on my P Zero Nero all-seasons and will be replacing them soon. Others who have the Brembo package have empirically reported less distance. I rotate every 5000 miles and use 32 PSI in all 4 tires. My car is a daily driver, no burnouts, "spirited acceleration and corner taking".

Same here, probably could have gone another 5k but started getting those little cracks in the sidewalls.

Wife got 34k down to the wear bars on her P-Zero Nero 18's on her 2011 GT Premium coupe. Tires regularly rotated and set to proper pressure at every dealer oil change.

I was very happy to avoid the 650-750$ replacement cost of a new set of 4 by luck of getting a set of BF Goodrich all season M+S V rated radials (over 260ea brand new) second hand with less than 10k on them for 250$ complete set. 2 of them still have the thin rubber 'hairs' sticking out of the sidewalls you see and brand new tires. So hooray for me!!! Life was bad, but now it's good, forever!

Thought I read/heard somewhere that the Brembo package came with the softer, summer only PZeros...? If that's the case, what is the treadwear rating on the sidewall ? My original PZeros have long been recycled but I'm sure there are plenty of ways to verify what the non-summer version treadwear rating is.

The Brembo-Pack cars all came with 19" Pirelli PZero Tires.
According to Tire Rack, they have a 220 Treadwear rating, and replacement cost is $353 each.
The standard Tire is the Pirelli PZero Nero All-Season
Those Tires have a treadwear rating of 400, and a replacement cost of $160 each.

Getting 20-25k miles from a 220 Treadwear rated tire is about all to be expected. It is a real soft compound meant for great traction on the street and track.

The All-season's tend to get about 30-35k miles before needing replacement.

I've got 40,000 on my 06 GT and still have plenty of tread left. Most of it city driving.
