Did you actually receive a membership card, you did you just bring the printout, providing proof that you paid your membership (with membership #)?

My dealer needed the x plan pin number you have to generate and a copy of my membership card to prove the 30 days before purchasing part was followed. They have to fill out a set of forms for your x plan pin and paperwork application.

I have their partner code written down somewhere so I could get into the partner site but didn't get any further than that.
Like the other member said you go to "Generate my PIN" but you need to enter all your information that you used for joining MCA (name, social, address, etc.). If you are in the system, which I was in a day, then you can generate a PIN.

So for OP, I think you can still join MCA and generate a PIN to bring to your dealer as your car arrives. I believe you can log in and see what your membership number is. I'd check it but apparently moved to a new site in which you need your membership # to create a new account, so I couldn't see whether your number is ALREADY stored in your account after you pay for the membership.

It may work, it may not. It costs $50 and could potentially save you hundreds. It's up to you to try it but you should speak to your salesperson about this. Let him know that you ARE in the club and you have the PIN (if you do decide to join), but just waiting on the membership card. GL

Thanks to all for your replies... I joined for sure, as I wanted to be part of the MCA anyways. The X-Plan was just an added bonus I wasn't aware of before.

I called up my dealer and told him that I am eligible for X-Plan pricing... He said he would check into it, so that I can compare the already negotiated price to the X-Plan rate.

I'll let you know what I find out...

I requested my pin about 20 minutes after I joined MCA, and had my pin in about 5 seconds.

Talked to my dealer/salesperson after I joined MCA and created my Ford X-Plan Pin and kindly asked him if I still would be able to get in on the X-Plan pricing. Keep in mind that my car will be here in a few days and I negotiated the price back in June.

He wanted to double check with his sales manager and e-mailed me shortly thereafter, informing me that there would be no problem and provided me with my new price.

My $50 investment in joining the MCA saved me $ 992.03!

And I only found out about the MCA and X-Plan here on TMS... thanks to y'all!! I'm excited!

Me too. Very smooth, painless transaction. Much better deal than I was able to get from the local dealers who were only giving a few hundred $$ off MSRP.

Hmm...

I thought someone had confirmed that you had to have been a MCA member for 30 days before you could redeem your PIN at the dealer.

Be great if you didn't have to wait.

I didn't have to wait.

I joined MCA on a Thursday night, got my x-plan pin Friday morning (needed the login info from the MCA) and picked up my car on Monday. No problems. I did however print out proof of membership status from the MCA website since I didn't have my card yet. The ford partners site does not ask for your MCA membership number, however you are supposed to supply a copy of your membership card along with the pin to the dealership.

I think my MCA membership card arrived with a week or two.
