MCA and X-Plan Question

Even though it will be too late for this order on my 2011 Mustang, I am definately planning of joining the MCA. I read several posting, that MCA members will receive the benefit of the X-Plan pricing? Is that correct? What are the conditions?

There's nothing mentioned of this at the official MCA website... just wondering.

Thanks for any help...

Yup, they don't mention it on the MCA site, they have mentioned it on the local chapter site in Houston.

Just have to pay your $50 membership fee and go to the Ford member site and enter the info and they will generate your x-plan PIN. I think it takes a little time for your membership to become active though.

If you haven't got your car on it's way yet I would try for the membership and PIN and see if you can get it in time.

Yeah... I guess I realized this fact too late... however, this will not ruin my excitement, as my car should be here next week!!!

But for the next car order... this will definately help!

I joined the MCA for the sole purpose of the x-plan (thanks to other forum members). I was able to print out my x-plan long before before I got the card (I went to the dealership with my x-plan PIN the day after I joined). I know you're supposed to bring in the membership card + the x-plan print out but the numbers are already in the system.

I'm thinking the dealership may allow you to pay with x-plan if you show them proof of membership? Other than the card, of course. I don't see why they wouldn't.

I joined mca right after ordering my car I had previously know about it and used it even though I negotiated a better deal then x plan. For the simple fact the dealer told me with x plan they can only charge me a $75 dealer fee without x plan even though I was getting the car at invoice+holdback*$21,996* and the perf pack at invoice+holdback*$1736* they wanted to charge me a $699 dealer fee and wouldn't budge. So I joined MCA later that same day followed a link provided by a member on here and got my x plan pin the next business day. So to recap for $50 in membership dues*which to me is worth supporting a club like mca and has lots of its own unuque benefits* I got what amounted to $425 additional off the deal as under x plan its about $200 over invoice+holdback pricing, I then used my x plan pin and the buyers order to play one local dealership against another and managed to negotiate the FDAF off so take another $486 off. All told on my deal if you don't include taxes&the title fee and dealer fee I am switching from a 2011 that isn't the color I wanted, has almost 5k on it to one with the perf package in the color I want for right at the cost of the performance package itself at retail.
Don't you just love rebates and negotiating?

You can get FREE X plan pins at blue oval forums. I got one a few years ago.

Don't think they are allowed to give them away like that to anyone they please any more.

There used to be a deal where Ford employees could give away a certain number of x-plan PIN's but that was discontinued.

So all you need to do is sign up, request your pin, and then wait for your mustang to arrive to use the X-plan?

Join MCA, get the Ford Partner code number, enter it at the Ford Partner website and fill out the PIN request info and Ford will issue a PIN.

I haven't heard any different. Ford WANTS the pins to be used- it increases sales for them. I read that if the available pins were used it would equal an additional 350,000 vehicles sold each year!

I will be ordering my stang in the next week or so, do I request my pin now, or will I need to wait until just before my stang arrives so that the PIN will not expire.

Answered this in the other thread you posted in.

PIN is good for a year and you are allowed two a year.

Does MCA give you a member number or something to enter into the Ford Partner site to get your PIN???

I have their partner code written down somewhere so I could get into the partner site but didn't get any further than that.

I logged in with the MCA partner code that was given to me and clicked "Generate my PIN" and that was it from there.
