Max hp 3.7 auto transmission can handle?

I have a 14 v6 and was looking to add supercharger, I was wondering how much hp can the stock auto transmission can handle. I know I have to change the pistons an rods so the engine can handle it, but couldn't find any info on the tranny... Little help please!

I could be mistaken, but I thought the same tranny was used in the GT. The gear ratios are certainly the same.

So I would be able to just buy a 5.0 tranny and replace it? Or it will still handle a good amount of power?

The v6 has the same transmission as the GT, irrc. Shouldn't be any need to swap.

I could be wrong, but i don't think you have to get forged internals for the 3.7. I believe the procharger kit is made to be run on stock internals. I think a guy named solo found that the stock internals started going around 600-650hp, so if you're under 500 you should be fine. I'm not an expert, just going off of others' testamony. You're best off consulting with the supercharger manf.
