Matte black side scoop

I am going to go with a matte black theme so I played around with plasti-dip on the side scoops today and I can't decide if I like it or not. The side scoops will be wrapped in vinyl if I go that route along with adding some matte black Super Snake stripes and a matte black CS stripe. I have also been considering doing the raised area on the hood, roof and rear spoiler in matte black.
Then again, I was originally going to go with matte gunmetal vinyl, but I'm not sure on how it would blend with the black.

If you're adding more matte black surfaces and stripes than I think it will look good.

I'm a bigger fan of the scoops being gloss instead of flat black. Just my opinion though.

What part of Indiana are you from?

I love matte black but I don't like the matte black scoops. Just my opinion!

My opinion: no. Keep the side and hood scoops as is. Still go with the matte stripes though. 2 cents.

I vote for painting body trim in gloss, especially on a black car. Keep in mind that it's three dimensional. My first impression was that the scoop looked like it was just thrown on. The matte finish breaks up the flow of the body, especially since it's right in the middle of the car. Eyes are drawn right to it and the rest of the car might tend to get overlooked.

I agree with Zto5 about the stripes though. Matte works well on a flat one dimensional surface. It's subtle and it has the "wow" factor.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

OP-I'd have to agree with MustangFan-I think more matte will help them flow with the car. They contrast really nicely with your AMR's!
