That looks like a great ****!

Is it the locknut you don't like? I don't see any problem at all... looks just like the Hurst locknut on my '05 shifter. Great find!

No, the real issue is the boot adapter, it is too small in diameter to fit snug in the top of the boot so I had to glue the boot to it to get the it to stay up around it.

Well, the $20 credit got back to my card today.

Good job LRS!

Now just waiting for my redline tuning hood lift kit...

Excuse me good sir, but i think you have a problem. Your seat seems to be inside your dashboard/steering wheel.

OP:

I like this shift ****. Looks nice in the pictures you took. Great find.

Okay, found the ultimate low-buck fix for the issue with the boot adapter that comes with the LRS ****...

THROW IT AWAY!!!

Nah, not really, I never throw stuff like that away, I'll hang onto it for some later use of some kind.

But I did find the best fix for the least bucks.

Company called "Drake Muscle Cars" AKA Scott Drake, makes all kinds of stuff for Mustangs, mostly classic Mustangs, makes a shift boot adapter that fits the standard boot on 05-13 Mustangs.

AND IT FITS!!!

It's taller than the other adapter and is threaded so it doubles as the lock nut for the ****.

And the cost was only $12.95 on a price match from American Muscle!

I used the $20 refund from LRS to buy the Drake adapter.

Looks lots better and I did a better polish job on this one.

Pics:

The adapter as it comes from Drake

The adapter after I polished it

And installed on the car

A couple more installed pics:
