I would not drive my Mustang in the snow either, but that's no reason the OP shouldn't !

It is my everyday driver and yes I drive it in the snow and with 4 snow tires and a manual I have passed many front wheel drive cars. They have limited slip differential and if you still need help you can add weight in the trunk

did you have a look at the links provided?
My personal experiences with take off parts I have found on eBay, have been very good! Especially if you work with companies, like Roush, Shelby and others. They cannot afford to have really dissatisfied customers.

Now is probably the time to buy rims for snow tires (less expensive)

They pop up quite a bit down here on the gulf coast. I just sold mine a few weeks ago when I upgraded to 19's.

And yet plenty of us do and do just fine in bad weather with them. Given the choice of having to drive a Mustang year-round or not have one at all, which is my situation and lots of other guys, I'm guessing, what would you choose?

I daily drive mine year round but we don't get much snow or ice on the gulf coast Mississippi. We had some bad days last year and they put sand on the bridges so that took a while to wash off but as far as I know, there was no salt.

Why would he be joking? If it is his only car, what would you suggest he do then?

When I had my 4X4 for a daily driver we had three of the mildest winters with almost no snow in a row (northern Virginia). I then bought the Mustang and we had 90 inches combined the past two winters. Drove it in the snow both seasons, but I will have a beater to fall back on this year as it is doable but a PITA to drive it in heavy snow.
