Blew a lot of dough on chicks and cars but it was fun.

I had a '93 busted eclipse in high school that squealed and interrupted football practice at times.

i had a '72 Torino with a inline V6 and 3 speed on the column. The car was so eat up with rust that when I went around a corner too fast my spare tire would fly out. To stop the car I would have to downshift until I was going slow enough to deploy my stealth braking mechanism..... work boots!!! Ahhhhh, the good old days

That's awesome, an inline V6! Sounds like the Flinstone car.

I don't know if it's just me, but it was way funner to drive a beater in H.S. I didn't have to worry about anything happening to my '96 Civic that I didn't get until I was almost 18. Ate in it, beat it up, did other high school things in it, got all my idiot driving-training out in it. I didn't have to compete with other kids based on how much their Dad made... and gas and insurance were pretty cheap. Who wants to compare machismo on the tail end of puberty anyway? Not like most 17-18 year olds can drive worth a ****, and with 400+ HP you're likely to ruin that perfect first car. Lastly, this kid seems like he's compensating for something majorly - I think if you give someone too much too early, it puts a real dent in their personality. That car sounds like it ended up defining who that guy is... real cool. Bet he's really entertaining at parties.

Anyway, you have a pretty nice ride. Take care of it, don't fall into that socially dramatic bullsh*t and don't get so attached to it that it's all you talk about - those girls fawning on it will eventually wise up .

Is that a 60 or 90 degree inline V6?

Bro. Honestly it doesn't matter what ppl think. Its your car in the end. I don't give a s*** if you lift the **** car...its yours. The kid with the SS is gonna have a reality check when he's blind sided by the real world. Enjoy the hell outta That v6. Its nicer than majority of other high school kids cars.

LOL @ high school kids driving SS Camaro's. Will that job flipping burgers even pay the gas bill now-a-days?

There's nothing wrong with parents buying their kids new cars in highschool. My parents made sure I had good grades and that I was going to college otherwise I was going to walk LOL
Telling me that I'm going to get a brand new car my senior year in highschool made me WANT to study...

Some kids are not like that. I had a beater Ares K car for six months then my patents got me an 85 GT which I babied my dad and I worked on it together he taught me to change the oil and all the maintenance I had a job and had to pay for gas and upkeep. Now my friends son got a 2005 Tahoe Z71 treated it like crap and had the view that your first car is a "throwaway car" so you can just rag it out. Different kids in every situation.

It's probably a 180 degree inline V6.

I'd rather have looks than power any day,

It would be interesting how big of a lead he would have on me in a race though.

I'd rather have power and looks everyday!

I'd rather just half a good medium what's the point of having a real fast car if it's ugly as sin?
