Little '10 pricing help.

http://fredbeans.com/new/Ford/2010-F...seHistory=true

My E price is $28,600.

I asked about this car close to two months ago, they said my E price was at $32K, I think. They have quite a few '11's on the lot. Should I continue to wait?

Thanks.

I have been doing alot of shopping lately on both 2010 and 2011. That price is decent but it would not hurt to try and get another thousand off.

Do you think 28 out the door is a good deal? I was thinking of coming back with that after I saw the car in person. Also, they have quite a few 2010's on their lots still.

yeah that seems like a good deal. tax is probably close to 2k so if they take that I would say deal. If they say no just tell them to call you when they can hit that price and if you have not bought by then you will take it. Don't be afraid to walk out the door because if they don't chase you down they will probably call the same day.

I am still considering this one.

http://apps.dealerconnection.com/dea...erPACode=07262

I got them down to 28k right now after 3500 in cash back because I live in nebraska which is 1k more in cash back than iowa. They will also give me 15k on trade for my explorer that I paid 15.5k for a year and a half ago so it's really tempting.

here in san diego, one of the dealers had a 2010 GT premium, 401A, electronics, HID, and security selling for $26K, the MSRP was north of $37. out the door, that would have been rouhgly $29K. i think they can do better than $28K out the door for the you are looking at.

All the 2010 Mustangs in my area are $5,000 off sticker. I think they will go more in a month or two.

Well they told me that mustang sold as I was talking to him over the internet. I like to be away from the dealer so I can think when I am negotiating. The same dealer has a used 2010 GT manual transmission, grabber blue, HID head lamps, sync, comfort package, 8,651 miles. They want $28,891 for the car. Seems high. What do you think would be ideal for this car price wise? All their other 10's are autos, I want a manual.

Different dealer has a new bear bones Candy apple red GT, manual transmission. With all the insentives and all that other **** they want $25,690 for it. What would you try and get them to? The MSRP is like $29,000. If I could get it $25,000 out the door I'd be happy.

The dealers close at 5 PM on saturdays here so I will go to both dealers around 6 to take a look at them. Thanks.

I don't know how many ford dealers you have within say 200 miles of you but here is what I would do. Try to find one you like on say 3 different lots. Email them a low ball offer and explain you are going to buy a car and the best deal gets your business. Nothing wrong with starting a bidding war it's your money they are after so make them earn it. Just my .02

The cheapest GT with a stick is what I want LOL. The dealers from Ford near me that I know of have no 2010's left, outside of the two I told you about. Some others have verts, but that is to much money for me. Even after the discounts. My goal is to get the car as close to 25k as possible, lower is obviously better.

This is OK for a used price, I have seen a couple locally like this for about that price as it's pretty decent. There are no incentives for used and so as a used car, it still has more value, or projected value than many of the new 2010's. Value is value, just because Ford and these dealers are needing to get rid of the NEW 2010 inventory, doesn't mean they are doing much for used cars. I found a 2010 with 6 miles on it with all but EP and GR for 27K. The ads here in Texas show 7K off for 2010's.

Is the 3.73 rear axel package the "track Pack" for the 2010 mustang?

I think the dealer's strategy for selling 2010's has changed in the last month. There for awhile, they seemed content to heavily discount the 2010's to clear them out with the 2011's on the way. However, with the 2011's now on the lots in alot of places, I think the 2010's are actually easier to sell for the dealers.

Say a dealer has one or two 2011's on the lot, but seven or eight 2010's. the '11s are selling for maybe a grand or two below sticker, but the '10s are $4k to $5k off plus factory cash or low interest rates. Alot of people who don't really appreciate what the new 5.0 engine brings to the fight will be more likely to buy a '10 for a 2-3K less than an '11, especially in this short period of time where they may have a better selection of color and options with the '10s than the still somewhat scarce
2011's.

I think great deals can still be had on the '10s, but I believe the best deals were a couple months ago. Now, if the remaining '10s don't sell by August or September, I think you'll start to see discounts in the $10k range very common to clear out whatever is left by then.

I know folks like to get on the interstate quickly... but if you're not going to the track, do you really, seriously need 400+hp? I think folks appreciate how awesome the new engine is just fine... but realistically, they just can't see spending even a few thousand $$ more when 300hp is more than plenty. Money was a factor when I bought my '10 V6 (because I'd just bought a Taurus also) so I didn't look seriously at the GT. But having driven this one for a few months, I don't think I'd go to the GT today even if money wasn't an issue. There's just nowhere for me to get any practical benefit from even 100 more HP... let alone the 200 more I'd get going to an '11 GT.

The Track Pack MSRP's for $1,530 and includes,,,

performance brake pads
dual piston front brake calipers
3.73 limited slip axle
19" painted aluminum wheels
unique 19" Pirelli summer performance tires
unique stability control module tuning
SVT rear sway bar
SVT lower rear control arms
strut tower brace
unique front strut tuning
unique rear shock tuning
tire inflation kit ..... ((Replaces the mini-spare))

As far as pricing goes,, I priced a similarly equipped 2010 GT, MSRP'd 33,630 back in March here in the Charlotte NC area for 26,649,,,

Granted sales regions are different, but I would think you can get down to 27,,,

If you are looking for a unique GT with the Track Pack,, Crossroads Ford in Cary NC has one,,,

I have a feeling that one will be available for a while,,,

No, I mean this candy red GT has the 3.73 rear axel package on it and I wanted to know what it does.

Wannabe, I don't go to the track, but I'll definetly put that increased HP to good use.

I was pretty much in the same boat as you -- I wanted a GT Premium with a stick; other than that I didn't need any other options, and I was shooting for $25K new.

Turned out, I couldn't get there from here . . . or I didn't wait long enough to get there from here . . . the best I could negotiate new (here in Mass.) was a Red Candy GT Premium for $26,250 after the $750 private offer coupon . . . they might have gotten down there eventually, but "the world will never know" because I went for a used one with 7400 miles for $24K.

So I still think your goal is about right, $25K for a GT Premium with stick shift and not much else . . . but I'm not sure if you will be able to get there; like the other guy said above, if you stay patient you might do even better come the fall.

Oh, by the way -- did I mention I LOVE my new-to-me 2010 GT???? By far the best and most fun car I've ever owned, I still wonder if I could have got a better deal if I wated a little longer, but I'm not regretting it for a second! Don't underestimate the value of the rumble . . .
