Like a BOSS

People who put Boss on non-Boss cars are compensating for other "shortcomings". No matter how much you say "I added LT so I'm not posing" or "it's a tribute car", you are posing - otherwise there would be no reason (or desire) to put it on there in the first place. It's your car, do what you want, but don't look for approval from enthusiasts... mostly they'll just laugh.

Well, my eyesight must be far worse than I thought. The first post has a photo of a GT with rocker stripes that say "BOSS LT". And the OP says "LT for Lite".

Lol people get their panties tied up really easy these days
Would it be ok and approved by u guys if I put "Not A Boss" on my rocker? Or what would be ok for me to do?
Obviously there is no gray bosses and obviously there is no BOSS LT from factory. If someone who knows these cars they will think its funny and someone who doesn't know these cars would care less. For me it's funny and I like it.
Don't u guys dare put any parts from Shelby or boss 302, how dare you!!
Ok back to fun times.... Ford is holding me back on some back order parts, so no updates till end of month likely :"((

I am sorry, but I have to chime in.
I have a GT on order. and I plan to put some handling and performance mods into it.
I like a car that is a good handler and can run hard when I feel like it.
So in short, I want a sleeper. I can't do that with a Shelby.
I am not in to flashy cars, as the cops like them to much.
I hate stipes on my cars, but I think they are cool. And I believe that we all have an idea of the perfect car.
I have a little 4 banger that will outrun my GT when I get it, But I know that I will not miss the 4 banger, as it is front wheel drive. And I don't think of it as a sport car.
I guess I am saying that I love Personalized cars, and I enjoy other car owner's ideas.
So enjoy the hobby.

As the previous owner of a 2012 Boss 302 #903 I will simply say that I would not put any stickers / lettering on my new 2013 GT that depict it as a Boss or Shelby. However, I could car less what anyone else does to THEIR car because..... well its THEIR car.
People need to get over themselves......

Interesting how some people will rag on ricers yet say "it's their car, they can do what they want" when a domestic owner does the same thing.
Part of the definition of "ricer" is putting on stickers for products not installed on the car or emblems of models the car is not... like Type R emblems. Installing the actual performance parts is not the issue, the issue is pretending to be something it's not. Protest all you like but there is no other reason to use the name Boss except to try to fool someone (obviously only those who don't know any better)... and that's rice.

Again, since i don't make his payment I could care less what he does with his car.... i wouldn't put badging on mine.... but his car ain't mine....

I am all for modding your Mustang and I am all for that, Hell its a Mustang. But I have to agree myself badging what its not is ricey. Nothing wrong with making it the same looks and even performance wise but like was said if it isn't what it was born to be its not.

I like it, dude, go with it. I get your sense of humor. I like that you didn't just put Boss on it. It is clearly a personal touch and that is fine. And I had a 95 GT that I refused to put any Cobra badges on, except what came on the wheels, but I don't think that counts. Anyway I think it would have been funny to have write Fobra on it

when you post on a public forum and ask for peoples thoughts... some crazy **** might happen! they might say what they think.. no one here is going up to some one in a parking garage and attacking someones ride.

How about you just post them in the original post in this thread, instead of starting a new thread?
Personally, I'm not a fan. I'd like to see detail of the front brakes though. And I agree with someone else; the wheels properly finished will look 100x better than the Plasti-Dip does now.
