light throttle rpm surge

light throttle rpm surge

13' gt auto here and im getting 50-300rpm surge only during light throttle around 40-42mph upshift. ANy ideas?

Hi winkawak, (what does that mean?)

Could you give us some more information on your car such as year, mods, etc.

Any codes?

winkawak is a neogeo emulater lol
i did read above, im on stock tune.

Have your dealer check it out. My v6 does something like this, its the torque converter locking and normal

what year v6? is it an auto? can you explain alittle about torque converter locking up?

Its a 2011 v6 automatic. In between 2nd and 3rd gear you will feel something like a half shift, this is just the torque converter locking and its normal. This is what i've been told by my dealer

mine happens sometimes only during light throttle around 40-42mph upshift, so i think its 3-4? whats half shift? i dont trust dealer, the car can be on fire and they will still say its normal lol

My flare got worse tonight, had few violent 1k rpm flare. Drove around few miles flare came down to 500 then 300rpm. Theres a new flare now around 52mph upshift and my old 42mph flare.
