So my question is why they took my order for Kona Bluce with the Acc. Package #5 if they are not scheduling it.

 

Order acceptance is no a guarantee that a car can be built - especially when natural disasters rear their ugly heads and disrupt the supply chain.

 

Just curious... why would they exclude certain accessory packages? Is it because they use more paint and they want to save the paint for actually building cars? According to a link on another thread, they don't expect Kona to balance out for Mustang until August -- is that what you're seeing too?

 

True, I understand it's not a guarantee, but they took my order just two weeks ago. *shrug* You would think the system would not allow you to.

But at least Sonic Blue is a nice color!

Well that is a shame folks, Sonic Blue pales in comparsion to Kona! I didn't care for it much on the 2005 and I thought Vista was stunning and a far better repalcement and I won't care for it on the 2013 Mustang. It deserves a far better blue than Sonic.

 

I am guessing it's because the parts arrive at the factory pre-painted. Once the paint runs out at the supplier, no more cars can be made with those parts. If they are painted at the factory, then they are likely done in batches, and Ford determined there wouldn't be enough paint to warrant doing another batch.

 

I dont think I have seen a Lava Red mustang as of yet. Whoever has this color already will have a rare color car with this shortage going on.

 

I got a Vin and Build week of July 18th on a Boss 302 WITH KONA. I am doing the Happy Happy Joy Joy dance.

 

Truegeek, when did you put your order in? I am waiting for a build date on a Red Candy V6 Prem. Vert. I am being told that the paint may be ok now, but the Nav. is backordered because of the Japan Quake. Bummer for me!

 

May 24th. But the Boss orders are scheduled by Dealer allocation. I knew when I ordered that my dealer's allocation was July.

I got your latest message and will get to it as soon as I can. Regarding the Nav System in your order, I don't think you will be able to get it. Please speak to your dealer and modify your order if needed.
