Koni Problem

Anyone ever had a bad adjuster right out of the box? Installed my Koni yellows today and the adjuster on one of the shocks is frozen. I have no luck.

Don't worry. Check to see if they adjust before install. I waited till after I installed them. Did a little digging and it seems it happens with brand new as well as older ones. As long as you are the original owner they are warrantied for life so no worries.

You will be fine, If they are messed up. Just call KONI they will take care of you. I would stand by their product for life. I love them on my ride, it completely changes the characteristics of the car.

Spoke to Koni today. They are sending me out a replacement. Did the advanced replacement option. You pay 50% off retail for the shock, they ship you a new shock and then when you swap, you send the broken one back and they credit you back the money when they receive it. Quick and easy. Should be all good in about a week. Did not want to have to revert back to stock and wait for replacement so glad they have that option.

I have heard great things. The back shocks are on a 5 week back order with AM. I can not wait to get them and put them on. It is time to get rid of that gap!

Got the new shock from koni yesterday and installed today. All went perfect. Love the way the car feels with these shocks. Awesome customer service from Koni. Faxed warranty request form on Monday and received shock yesterday. Can't ask for better a service than that.

I had one bad strut right out of the box. I shipped it back today and AM is sending me another one. The only thing that sucks is I had the suspension apart in the front before I realized it.

Just sent back a set of oranges. They squeaked like hell. Apparently Koni had a bad run of them early this year. New ones are quiet.

It would be nice. I'm just not willing to compromise the comfort ride of the current setup. Not to mention that I've had two past cars lowered anywhere from 1" to no wheel gap at all. (not even fit your pinky in there)

Overall stance is always welcoming. just don't like everything else associated with it.

constant worrying about scraping, driveways too steep. speed bumps. potential for much firmer ride which could be good or bad depending.

I'm sure a 1" drop would be fine overall!

maybe air rides are the way to go

I am only doing a 1" drop. Not enough to cause any issues.
