Kona blue metallic
After all, Kona means black and, in most cases, it looks it -- just with blue highlights. If you love dark colors, it will be right up your alley.
Sorry, I should have qualified that. According to the Ring Brothers, Kona means black in Hawaiin.

"Childish" is an interesting choice of adjective. I agree...also without meaning to sound harsh. I love that they made Grabber Blue, I love seeing GB cars on the road and at car shows, I was excited at the first photo's but in person I feel it looks too...light and bright. I like dark colours and if I ever get to order a new car it will be a tough choice between black and blue. I am a fan of Sonic (sister-in-law has a Sonic SVT Focus) and Vista was a bit of a letdown at first (why change?) but has really grown on me. Kona was love at first (photo) sight and seeing the colour in person has only reinforced that.
Kona..."is like four different colors depending on the light. It looks almost black at night, a medium blue in strong sun or under lights, a dark blue in the afternoon sun, and purple at dusk"
That sounds just about perfect to me!

Not sure how the color is "childish" that I own.... I don't get it. Plus the color is not really all that light. In person it is darker than it appears in photos.

Anyone have Kona with Black Factory Stripes ... is there enough contrast ??
I really need to see what this looks like as I want an MCA edition and the stripes only come in black ... and blackout between taillights would look kind of silly if it were anything but black too.

That sounds promising to me that its darker! (i´m already on the way ordering a grabber) Childish is a compliment (one shoud not buy car/color for others - life is serious enough).

Your right!!! And everyone that see's he car says it looks darker in person as well. i get all kinds of compliments on it. It's been my favorite color on a mustang since late 60's. I don't remember anyone ever calling those cars "childish" because of the color.

Anyway, stopped by Golf Mill Ford in Niles, IL last night to look at colors ... 16 2010's on their lot in probably every color.
They have a Kona / Saddle Prem V6 AT Coupe with Glass Roof and right next to it was a Grabber Blue GT so I could compare the two up close. I really like both colors as well as the Saddle interior, lot was well lit (Kona looked blue rather than black) but I really would like to see it in daylight yet. Sterling Gray was my 3rd choice (had a GT Prem Conv. there to look at) ... I like it, but it just does not jump out at me like the 2 blues do so at least I can say I've narrowed my choice down to the two Blues.
A Grabber Blue Prem GT Conv. with HID's was there too, so I was able to see these lights in person on a color I'm considering.
Also had quite a few cars with the various Acc'y. pkg's on them ... I like the Pedestal Spoiler, but don't care for the hood scoop that comes with it. Side Scoops are ok, but the car does not seem naked to me without them. Rear side window louvers look cheasy ... IMO only thing that looks better than factory glass here is those flush '66 style aftermarket ones that are pretty popular (but a pita to install).

I have seen Kona in a lot of different situations, and never have I seen it anywhere close to a medium blue -- even under the most blinding of sunlit days.

I fell in love with the color when I saw it in pictures. While my family was shopping for the Escape, they had a 2010 pony package in Kona Blue and really reinforced my love for the color. There was also a Roush in Grabber and it was a nice color too definitely darker in person. My mom jokingly called it a smurf car

. I know a little Hawaiian and have never heard Kona used to describe the color black. Maybe in some other language?
