Is it really metallic? I guess I've never looked close enough at it.

Kona Blue is my favorite based on pictures, like these:

But I'd have to see it in person. Just hope it's still around for the next Boss or Mach.

Last year I saw fotos and dreamt of a kona until i saw it in reality: darker then expected with an unexpected additional color violet within. ( saw once a 2006 blue, that was blue and colorful as i imagine) Kona is told to look great at sun and much different without sun (i saw it without sun, i was missing the flavour/color). I would look at it, whenever possible!

don't bother looking at pictures, it changes a LOT in different light. You have to go see one.

Exactly, my car is like four different colors depending on the light. It looks almost black at night, a medium blue in strong sun or under lights, a dark blue in the afternoon sun, and purple at dusk. I love it and most people who see it feel the same way.

Thing is ordering a car without ever seeing the color in real is king of annoying. I want to make the right decision. What about white, anybody has some good pics. I just checked the order guides again, and i cannot seem to find that yellow blaze color that was on that car at the DIAS.

Yellow Blaze is late availability bud. Kona is a really nice color. I don't even like blue cars and I love Kona. Grabber is okay but I like metallics better, personally.

Mazda sells the 6 in Kona if you have a Mazda dealer in the area.

i was thinking about kona, black, red candy then i saw it in person, a new 2010 right off the truck in june 09 and i knew it was the right color for me. it its one of the best metallics out there of any manufacturer and the way the shade changes with the angle of the sunlight is perfect with the new body style.

The Kona blue is a really nice color but it was my second choice. I ordered Red Candy. As they say though you have to see it in person and more than once. The Red Candy changes color with the lighting too.

It is too dark for my taste. I have seen several on the road, and each time I thought the were black. When clean, and close-up, it looks great.

I agree that it is too dark. I've looked at a couple on lots here, and if/when I replace the '07, I'll stay away from it. Probably go with Grabber Blue.

My first car was an '05 in Sonic Blue, but when that went away and I was ordering the '07 I almost went away from blue completely because I didn't like Vista Blue as much as Sonic. But definitely Kona Blue is out for me.

You are 100% correct IMO. Sonic Blue was the best blue since True Blue in the late 90's. I wish they would bring it back.

I have a Kona blue convertible and love it. I get compliments all the time on the color. I had a grabber orange ranger and wanted to stay away from the grabber color on the mustang. I like the grabber but to me it looks childish. Not sure if thats the best way to describe my feelings on the grabber- I don't mean to sound harsh.

"Childish" is an interesting choice of adjective. I agree...also without meaning to sound harsh. I love that they made Grabber Blue, I love seeing GB cars on the road and at car shows, I was excited at the first photo's but in person I feel it looks too...light and bright. I like dark colours and if I ever get to order a new car it will be a tough choice between black and blue. I am a fan of Sonic (sister-in-law has a Sonic SVT Focus) and Vista was a bit of a letdown at first (why change?) but has really grown on me. Kona was love at first (photo) sight and seeing the colour in person has only reinforced that.

Kona..."is like four different colors depending on the light. It looks almost black at night, a medium blue in strong sun or under lights, a dark blue in the afternoon sun, and purple at dusk"

That sounds just about perfect to me!
