I will preface this thread by stating a couple well know things. Vendors/manufacturers make large margins on exhaust systems. Some people believe they have to spend $600-1000 on an axle back for their car to sound cool.
I also realize the 11-14 platform is now done. So pricing on parts should naturally (supply/demand) go down. I just picked up a full T304 polished stainless direct bolt in axle back. This system through Nxtstep Performance lists on their site for 500. Includes 30 day full refund and lifetime warranty.
Paid $269 shipped in 2 days from California Fedex. They are currently having this sale via eBay for anyone looking for more aggressive axle back. Comparable sound wise to Flow Outlaw, Bassani Race, Corsa Extreme, etc.
These literally bolted in with zero problems or fitment issues. I'm running a cobra jet setup and these new mufflers with my offroad X sound amazing. Plus dropped 30 pounds of weight off car.
Thought I would share in case anybody else was not wanting to shell out the silly money most axle backs cost. No brainer.
Great question. I do not hear any resonance humming/vibrating sounds. The exhaust is louder around 2k and quiets back down. Certain rpms it is actually quiet. More deep and airy than drone IMO. I have stock resonators still in place. I would say that is helping tremendously excessive drone, popping, and gurgling. Sounds really good.
