Key Programming Question
Key Programming Question
I have a question for you folks. I'm fully aware of the PATs system and how it works. I know that the vehicle has a limit to what can be programmed to it. 4 transceivers for lock/unlock etc. up to 8 unique keys can be programmed for starting the car.
What I want to know is, does the IPC actually change anything in the PATs chip when it is programmed to a car?
Can I program one key to two different cars? I'm going to test something

Well, this left me more disappointed than happy. Apparently the PCM needs to be linked to the IPC during the parameter reset before the key reset process can even take place. So now I'm sitting here thinking... Ok, I need to get a PCM for my experiment but I really don't want to invest even more money
