just ship shift elimination

No I'm saying like a tune shop or the Ford dealers should offer it as a service. You stop in, they reflash your car, you drive off. You don't get to keep the handheld.

If you're worried about warranty the tuner should be able to flash your ECU back to stock if you need to go to the dealer. I don't know about these tuners, but the Cobb APs on the Zs left no trace...

not just that, also cost. Don't have $400 right now to throw around on a tune, but I'd pay a quick $25-50 to eliminate skip shift

Ford dealer might be able to do this as they can re-flash the computer but tuner shops don't offer that kind of tuning ability.

And I still am convinced that there is a mechanical fix for the skip-shift as there is a mechanical interface to make the skip-shift take place.
If someone wants to bring me their car and leave it with me for a few days I will figure out the way to defeat the skip-shift.

Yep, played with this myself yesterday. The only way to defeat it thus far is a tune.
