Well is it?

I havne't even heard people talking about it lately let alone any new cases.

I know thats probably a good thing and I don't mean to but I am just curious if the tuners figured out what was doing it. I remember hearing people getting revised tunes.

The thing is people were saying it was stock cars also so unless we have heard about any stock cars we have not heard of any tuned. Most tuners have set the knock sensors to stock now and are running the cars richer with timing set conservative.

Exactly. None exist that I have seen either.

Most likely you are not seeing new cases due to the tuners revised tunes.

I know right? Tuners quit messing with something they had no business touching in the first place and now the engine no longer has a "design flaw" and "can't be modified very far past stock".

I only ever heard of one failure on a stock car and it was unsubstantiated. the poster never provided any additional information.

This clearly was a tuning issue. More than likely the aftermarket has stepped up on this and changed things were necessary.

It's a dead issue, propagated by two or three people, all of which refused to go e detailed info about the Tune, Tuner, or how the car was honestly driven when said failure occurred.

I put a Bama Tune about 1000 miles ago at 19,500 miles. Wish I would have done it sooner, but it probably worked out better by waiting for the revised Tunes.

I think a guy with a v6 reported his stock engine blew #8.

Even the "end of the world" tranny drama queens aren't citing the cylinder 8 "issue"

It must REALLY not be a problem.

I remember answering everyone's every single question and I now have a Boss block instead of the Coyote block. I even had Brenspeed comment on the issue.
