Just me?
Seems to be some confusion here.......what Topnotch is talking about is how the rear backlight/glass sits in relation to the C-pillars. In other words, on the 05-09 Mustang the rear glass sits perfectly flush against the
Mustang's C-pillars as it does on most cars. The spy photos of the 2010 we have seen thus far make
it appear as though the rear glass is a little recessed into the C-pillars, somewhat like Nissan's Maxima.

I agree with you, but wish we could see it a little bit closer for better detail. My boss was at the dealer show in Vegas and he said that the mustang took on more of a fastback look. He is not a mustang guy so Im not sure what to make of this.
Top, are you talking about the rear glass being recessed in a tad more towards the bottom allowing the c-pillar panels to sort of act like air channels or deflectors?
If it's there, it's pretty subtle but I wouldn't doubt it. The two things that everyone wanted as far as design goes was hips and more of a fastback. It could be why they have camo on the C-pillars (of course it could also be because they have changed the window underneath).
It would be a pretty cool way of giving it more of a fastback profile without changing anything significantly to the old roof structure.

What I think that I'm seeing here, is something very different. It's about the distance between the bottom of the back glass and the Stang's rearend body area. First the decklid looks to be much shorter, because the tail lights and backface panel seem to look tipped back towards the glass. Like a pug dog's nose lift? Giving the visual effect of a shorter, taller deck. And with all that cover stuff and the false pads (phone books) under there, who knows? Just an old design engineers thoughts on these newer pictures! Anyone else seeing any of that look also? CalStang
P.S. Didn't they say that the roof and glass house area was to all stay the same on the 2010s?

I think this car could really be a looker. Throw in the addition of a 400+hp V8 and 6-speed manual for 2011 and we could be looking at ponycar Nirvana if the chassis and brake tweaks are up to par.
