Jonny sez my car is on the way! (Can we honor him?)

Just got this info from JonnyB over at allfordmustangs.com:

Car was shipped today! right now its in Newboston, MI

In Transit Arrived at Intermediate Point (Csx Transportation ) Newboston, MI May-24-2010, 13:00 ET May-31-2010

I asked him if there was anything I could do for him, since he's been so nice to those of us waiting for our cars. He said no. THEN I asked if there was a charity we could donate to in his honor, and he said he couldn't think of one.

SO . . . how about this: Since all our cars depend on petroleum, and the Gulf Coast is paying a high cost for that petroleum these days, how about anyone who's been helped by Jonny donate to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund in his honor?

Here's the website: http://www.gnof.org/gulf-coast-oil-s...e-gulf-coast//

Thats a bit of a stretch. If Johnny could confirm something he wished donated to, I'd seriously consider it. This, I don't think many people will think twice about.

And congrats on the shipment!

Well -- in addition to the environmental damage, the spill is threatening the livelihood of literally thousands of independent fishermen.

FWIW, I just donated to the Oil Spill Fund in Jonny's honor.

I just got my update from Jonny as well. It's amazing how he's willing to help so many people.

Can you imagine the goodwill towards Ford if their CS reps had done this?

Plus, my car is only 12 miles away at the railyard. Hopefully it gets sent to the dealer tomorrow. It's getting closer.

Are you saying that JonnyB and Jonny Five are the same person? If so, buy him a beer for me!

The government is working on a tax for the oil spill (shocker) so I'll pass on the additional donation to some fund likely to absorb as much or more in administrative costs as it hands out to help the people along the gulf coast. But I'll happily buy Jonny a beer, sandwich, pizza... whatever.

Did we all forget about Nashville already?

I'm not against sending some cash to Tennessee. A quick search found this online: http://www.cfmt.org/floodrelief/.

As much as I love a good political debate, my main point is that Jonny is doing a GREAT service to those of us who are short on info (and long on impatience).

Since the guy won't take money, I thought maybe we should show our appreciation by making a donation in his honor. I'm open to any ideas.
