Interior plastic trim color code?

Anyone know of the correct color code for paint matching for the interior trim pieces for a 2014?
I put a couple of scratches in the back trim pieces when swapping out my cloth interior. I bought some Ford Charcoal black paint to match but it is not even close. Even though ford says it's a match.
Anyone??

How bad are the scratches? I have had a few on my door panel (from dragging my keys across it) and I've used black shoe polish. It does a pretty good job. You could also try (I haven't tried it) some Scratch Out. I don't know if that would work on plastic or vinyl, but you could check an inconspicuous spot to make sure it didn't do any damage. I'm also wondering if the Turtle Wax Black Wax might work. It make all the scratches on my wife's black Miata completely disappear. I would check the warnings on the container first.

Good luck.

Supposedly you can use a heat gun or a lighter to make the scratches less visible. The idea is you are melting the part of the scratch that has the jagged pieces of plastic sticking up that make it look obvious. Over on Autogeek there is a thread about it.

I plan on trying it on a few in the spring. If you really are intent on painting the panel, I have used SEM Landau black paint to dye interior panels on my Third gen Trans Am. It matched in that car perfectly. It does not have a high sheen and adheres well as long as you prep the panel correctly and use an adhesion promoter. Looking at the panels in the car, I would think it should match well. You may want to try painting a scrap piece of something first and see how it matches. Here is a pic of a Camaro dash sprayed with it. You can follow up with SEM low luster clear if you want less shine as long as it is done within 24 hours.
