[COLOR=#505050]If you want to pay for your local Wal-Mart employee's healthcare, feel free, that is what FREEDOM is all about, but keep your hand out of my pocket while your bleeding heart is at it. I'll retain my FREEDOM to choose what I spend my hard earned money on my own **** self.
If everyone who voted for Barack Hussein Obama paid for one Wal-Mart employee's healthcare... Oh wait the majority of those who voted for Barack Hussein Obama are the ones wanting someone else to pay their way...

We're a country. One big country. We all pay taxes, which gives us a right to discuss where and how we spend our money.
And I, who have access to health insurance, think it is totally unfair and outrageous that we should tell some other AMERICANS that they have no right to see a doctor if they don't have a spare pile of cash laying around. I am THRILLED to pay a little bit more to end this injustice.
(Oh . . . . "Barack Hussein Obama!" You said it twice! Right! Cuz Hussein is an A-Rab name! And A-Rabs are scary! Great point!)

Amen, drop the politics.
BTW- I was quoted $1108 / year for a new GT. That's in Atlanta with the car listed as my primary commuter vehicle.
100/300/100 plus uninsured motorist and gap coverage.

Hey - I was tryin' to get back to auto ins topic - even made an invitation over to the political threads - but still, the topic is about insurance games, right?
But you simply can't let falsehoods hang out there - like one group denying medical care to another group (because the latter is too irresponsible to be an adult and pay their own way). If they get repeated often enough the ignorant (uninformed) start believing its fact.
Besides, if you're here to read about 'stangs, you are on the "Insurance Coverage" thread why?

If you look back, I actually started this thread because I was looking for guidance from other people about insurance coverage levels.
(But if people want to talk about the gummint, I can get into that too.)
So I see folks have chosen anywhere from 50k/100k/50k to 250/500/250? How have you made your decisions? Have you changed over the years?

I'm afraid that I don't see the direct connection between talking about cars and healthcare reform. Moreover, making blanket statements that people who can't afford health insurance are deadbeats is woefully ignorant. Are there freeloaders? Sure. That said, not everybody who is in a financial bind is there because they were/are irresponsible.
Oh, and the 2010+ diaper looks AWESOME.

If health care is a right, so is food, clothing, and shelter. And if you think you have a right to a free any of those, then you clearly don't understand the constitution.
And your lame sarcastic comment about Arabs is amusing considering your username.

Guys guys- your All right.
I do the stock market (capitalist?) But, I'm glad the govt. mandated emission controls, (or we'd be chokin) -and I'm sure glad I don't have to pay a toll and drive on a lot of crappy roads most of the time.

You're not sure if investing in the market is capitalism?
Exactly - my gas tank is empty and my refrigerator is empty and my clothes are 10 yrs old (from good will)... where's my **** obamacare for those items?? I want it and I want it now! waaaaaah.
Government's role is to provide defense, necessary (not burdensome stifling) regulation to promote commerce, and as a generous nation some social services to help those in a temporary pickle until they can help themselves to the promise of America's prosperity and freedom. It is NOT Government's role to redistribute wealth from the hard working to the lazy. If a person wants that, move to France or Denmark - those people are free to do so. But socialism and redistribution are NOT the principles America was founded upon nor what made her great.
That's what is great about America - you can make that choice about that horrendous 10/11 abomination - and express it - unlike obama taking more out of your pocket by force for the lazy irresponsible.
I only make a lousy 29k/yr gross. I pay 15.8% of my net on health insurance - and it hurts! I can't go anywhere this weekend because there is no money left for gas, food, camping fees, after the ever increasing cost of living (the Fed lies about 'no' inflation and I can prove it if you don't know it), $130/mo property tax, $100/mo homeowners ins, etc. etc. But I will NOT drop my insurance - not just because it protects my health and my home - but because it protects my assets (same with my auto ins) that I have sweated for years to accumulate (even with paying for my own health ins all those years) - because I used my freedom and CHOSE my path. And I even scrape some to give to charity (Food Bank) along the way. Now some political thief/slug wants to take a chunk away from me with their socialism so the lazy can have health ins for 'free'. F that!!
LOOK AT GREECE for the future of socialism. Thatcher was right. The problem with socialism is that you finally run out of OTHER people's money.
Really guys - we should be in the political section for this. Those discussions can be lively, but they are informative. We're gonna get in trouble doin' it here.

As for my username, my religious training teaches me that all people are created in the Divine image (Genesis 1:27). Meaning, to me, that we all deserve to be treated with respect -- whether Jew or Arab, European or Asian or American, blessed with money for healthcare or not.

Wow! That is expensive. Is the high rate because of your driving record, age, or location, or a mix of all of those factors? I pay less than $150/month for all five of our cars combined, with full coverage on all but the Miata. I haven't paid $200 or more a month since I was 20 and had a V8 Mustang, Suzuki Samurai, and multiple tickets on my record.

Checked with Ford credit's insuramce company just now and they are almost $200 higher per 6 months than my current carrier.
So, I guess I just eat the $562/6 months again with the current insurance company.
I'm afraid to ask how much it will be if I get a 2010/2011 to replace the 2004...

My high rate quotes are all about my credit score/history.

Nothing said that you delegate your responsibility before Yahweh God to a secular government that forcefully confiscates from your brother (or non-brother) and then redistributes according to a governments non-Godly determination. You are forgetting how the Romans treated Jewish citizens of Jerusalem.
Come on!
And for Christians, Jesus Christ showed that in action. But he never overturned his Father's laws and principles that you love your brother by helping AND teaching responsibility. Love is the culmination of the Mosaic Law. Love is the New Commandment for Christians. And while it is loving to feed your brother a fish when he is hungry, it is even more loving to teach your brother how to fish for himself.

"Our Rabbis taught: We sustain the non-Jewish poor with the Jewish poor, visit the non-Jewish sick with the Jewish sick, and bury the non-Jewish dead with the Jewish dead -- all for the sake of peace." (Talmud, Gittin 61a)
Here's the thing I don't get, and I;m asking seriously -- if you make 29k and pay a boatload for health insurance, this law will totally help you when it goes into effect. You'll get a big subsidy to help you pay your bills. Are you just against it because you don't like Obama personally?
