Installed my SW Full Exhaust - Dyno on 9/22/10

Just got my car back from my mechanic...

I had the full Stainless Works exhaust installed. 1-7/8" headers, 3" catted X-Pipe, and their 3" catback exhaust. I cannot describe in words how much i LOVE the sound of the exhaust. Below 2300rpm, if you stay out of the pedal it is only slightly louder than stock which is good for me as I drive very late and need it to be quiet at times.

With that being said, you push the pedal down and watch the tach climb, this exhaust is sheer awesomeness. I cannot describe the sound... Perfect for me. I couldn't be any happier

Beware, this is only a teaser clip. Photoshoot as well as a nicely done dyno video will be made tomorrow. Here are some shots of the car and a link to the teaser sound clip

Here is the dyno clip!

I am hoping for 425RWHP SAE tomorrow at the dyno. I have a shiny new JLT intake to install on the dyno as well. Check back tomorrow for updates!

Few pics of the car my friend took tonight as a bonus, sort of messed with the colors having fun:

Any thoughts on heat shielding for the cats since they extend past the end of the factory heat shield and have no shield built into them?

I'm not going to worry about it too much to be honest.

I'll have it on a lift tomorrow, a good 1/3 of the cat is protected

I’ve been considering the cat-back version of this system for awhile. A 41 lb. weight savings is a nice feature, and I know from having this design on a Corvette I used to own that the sound is great.

Am concerned re. drone in the 50 to 60 mph range. Got any?

There is a SLIGHT amount of drone around 2100rpm. It is very small though and not intrusive at all. Nothing compared to my 2007 GT that had stingers on it

One more question. Do the pipes after the x-pipe have any breaks in them or are they one piece all the way back to where the mufflers connect?

Just wondering about shipping dimensions. I have to ship this stuff to an APO address and boxes can't be too big.

The rear section is broken up as you can see here. No idea on the shipping size as it shipped to my mechanics house.

I'd call stainless and ask for dimensions

Stock - 373/351
Email Tune - 385/369
SW Full exhaust - 409.4/386.5
JLT Intake - 424.5/393.2

All SAE numbers. Had to tweak the tune for the JLT as you know. Got the idle buttery smooth

Sounds great Jay BTW. Everything was as promised

Dyno vids coming soon!

any idea you can tell me how much room you have between the front of the rear axle and the exhaust before it goes up and over the rear. just curious. looks great.

1st of all that car is bueatiful. Reaffirms why I want to get Spoiler Delete.

Those are some great numbers. Can't wait for the driving vids. Could you please do a driveby with a WOT run if it's not to much to ask.

Lastly Do you have the EP and if so any interior shots of your car available.

P.S. update your sig.

Dyno Charts before the videos...

Here is tune only, to SW full exhaust. No toher tuning changes made.

JLT intake added 40mins after previous run, gained 15.1RWHP

Final numbers vs bone stock pull. 5.0's are maxed from the factory right?

Wonder what it would sound like with only two instead of four mufflers???

Did your guy weld up the pipes or keep the system clamped together?

Could you possibly provide a sound clip of the car being started and then idling? There was a lot of revving in your current sound clip so I didn't get a chance to hear how it 'barks' upon start-up and how it sounds at idle. THANKS!
