I don't have the new 2011 but a 2008 GT/CS. I love my car but would trade it in for the new V6 for the best MPGs, smoother and quieter ride. Plenty of power in that V6. Try holding the traction control button down for 5+ seconds to turn it off for even more power. This works in V8s but, I'm not sure about the V6. I would think the traction control is the same on both of them though.

Minus the music, here's a decent lil vid on the comparison.

The V6 has come along way. Hell, I think it's the only car out their to deliver 300+ hp and 30+MPG. Can't complain with that.

Any pictures? What did you drive before?

I have driven 2 2011 V6's, one stock and one with a Conservative tune on it, was not real impressed with the Stock 1 at all over my 2010 but the tune really wakes that little motor up

I want to get it tuned. What do I tell the people at the shop that I just want a tune? I'm new to the whole car scene. I use to drive a dodge with a 6in lift.

While I was impressed by the V6, I still had to get the V8.

same here, I test drove the V6 first.. and for me, to own a mustang, you need the V8 Rumble and the 5.0 was just..... amazing... i dont regret it, ill mostly use it for hwy driving so 5-7mpg will be the pricetag i pay..

The new v6 is amazing.mits come a long way to become the worlds first 300+hp engine that can make 30+mpg. In fact when they did the thousand lap test with the new engine they averaged 40 something mpg! And its N/A no need for turbos here to aid power and economy. Yet as much as i like the new v6, personally i think a mustang isnt really a mustang without the v8 (:

There is a night and day difference between a stock 2011 v6 and 2010. You are in denail

I just said I was not that impressed with it over mine.
Also, unless you are running it above 3 Grand in its stock configuration it never gets into the torque or Horse Power the motor is capable of.
I also know my 4.0 is not going to beat it in a drag race but I don't race in a straight line anyways. And for the Corner Carving I have already beat a 2011 V6. Might be the loose nut behind the wheel, but in the end I was farther ahead when we stopped and it was the other driver that said he could not keep up
So as for the in Denial, Don't think so.

The 2010 GT only wins by two car lengths on average.

Just saw Procharger makes a supercharger for the V6. 475 HP @ 8 lbs of boost. Add some BBK long tubes plus 4.10 gears and you would have one nice sleeper.

That's only cause you have a 3.31 rear, most 3.7L have a 2.73 which completely ruins them.

Sleeper to only mustang connoisseurs, to everyone else, it still looks like a fast *** car!!!

I test drove an v6 manual before I got my 5.0. I was very impressed and absolutely considered it. Ultimately I'm very happy with my decision, but the v6 is a car I could have proudly driven and as I routinely get 15 mpg give or take, the sixer occasionally sounds like a good move.

you have to buy a tuner i.e. a handheld device, they only work with one car each. try steeda http://www.steeda.com/store/sct-xcal...d-mustang.html

I test drove a v6 the other day and all i gotta say actually is wow! Im very impressed with how far thenlil sixer hasncome over the years and its a very real possibility for ,y next car. Since im still a teen (17) insurance will be less, gas mileage will be alot better, and all it needs is a tune, gears, exhaust, andna procharger and **** thatll be fast! In the end though im prolly gonna get a GT again. Just cant beat that v8 rumble and its a freakin v8(:

i have the performance package v6 and havent been over 4000 rpm yet im still braking it in and not driving it like i have stolen it. i only have 675 miles on it in town using 89 octane and both fillups i got an avarage of 19.5 mpg.its not any better than my dodge magnum v6 but it is faster.
