"Watcha got under the hood?"

"Well, it's a dual-inlet, variable-induction turbine engine tuned for bio-diesel with high-flow ceramic-coated exhaust, mated to a high-flow, variable-torque, self-locking transmission with dual-clutch electrically-boosted sequential shifters."

The key is, it's when I CHOOSE too and I rarely talk about my own in here.

I've got an 09 so I dont get that question too often, instead I get people saying "wait is that a GT? I thought it was a v6."

Guess most dont look at the exhaust or fake gas cap? I'm all about second chances though, so they usually get a pretty good look at the rear end after asking

I wonder how many people see the dual exhausts on the new v6's and make the opposite mistake.

I've seen several Miata's with Ford 5.0 engines in them.

To be honest, the displacement (4,951cc) is just shy of it being a true 5.0

lol majority of engines aren't exactly but this one is a true 5.0 by automotive standards. it was the old 5.0 that wasn't a true 5.0.

Thats why the metric system sucks. its more accurate to use cubic inches. 302cubic inches, of course both the old 5.0 and the new are 302 cubic inches...maybe we need cubic cm to get even more accurate.

mind boggling, my head hurts now.

The metric system does not suck and it is no less accurate than the archaic system of measurements our grandparents grew up with. It's Ford's decision to limit the badge to one place past the decimal point that gives us a badge saying 5.0, not 4.951. It's not some inherent limitation of the metric system.

I am not interested in the "GT", I just want to know who "Shelby" is and why her name is all over your car?

You think GT is bad, people always roll down the widow and ask what the "CS" stands for...

Carroll Shelby or Chicken $Hit!
