Red face I just wanted to say Thank you.

So, this is my very first post ever in a forum..anyhow

First off, thank you! All of you who post stuff about your experiences really helped me choose me car. I knew I wanted a rwd, and couldnt choose between a couple of cars, and now that I have my very own, I dont think I could have made a better decision.

Anyways, I just picked up (more like a week ago) a 2014 V6 Black. And my gf just moved to Baltimore, and I couldnt resist not driving it to go surprise her. I live in Cleveland..so it was about 6hrs long, not bad. Actually, it was great driving there. I loved every second of the way. The car just meets everything I wanted it to. anyways, thats why there's a Beetle at the end. its hers..which I drove for almost 3 years..(big improvement there. Just to make it clear though Mustang>Beetle)

if you wouldnt mind, what do you think of the louvers? I didnt ordered them, but they came anyways..I kinda got in a fight with my dealear so he put that there to please me i guess. the point is that i wanna tint my windows, and im not so sure if I like the louvers or not.. so any input, thanks!

Again, thanks for this website. Its much more organized than the other ones out there. made my life much simpler!

Rick

ps.: im not sure the images are the right size..let me know

Congrats on the car! If you like the Retro look then leave the Louvers. I personally do not think they look like a true Mustang with out the Louvers or Side Scoops. But you know what they say about Opinions... Everybody has one! Enjoy

Welcome!!! Regarding the louvers I think they look great…on a 60s or 70s Mustang not on this modern version. But it depends how much you like the retro looks and how far you want to push it.

Congrats on your new ride! I ordered a GT/CS a few weeks ago and the waiting is killing me. My wife recently bought a 2013 Turbo Beetle and I must say, VW did a fantastic job on the redesign. I like everything about that car. We even added some mustang inspired rally stripes to match the red on black bucket seats. Here she is right after we got the stripes put on.

Welcome to TMS from another Clevelander. I'm not a fan of the window louvers, but its your car and personalization is what makes these fun to own.

I like the louvers and spent the $$ to add them. And when I tinted my windows, I tinted those quarter windows too. Just in case someday I wanted to remove the louvers.

Car looks great. You should black out the chrome surround in the grille. Takes 10 minutes with some plastidip.
