There were strangers that tested your car right after it came off the line. Then there were strangers that drove your car to the staging area for shipping. Then strangers drove your car on and off the transportation vehicle. Then strangers drove your car into the dealership garage for it to be prepared for delivery (unless you specified for that to NOT happen).

In short, you would have had mileage on your car from people other than yourself, regardless if it was road tested or not.

If you had bought a Bugatti Veyron, then someone would have run your car up to its over 250mph maximum speed before it was delivered! And those cost over 1.5 million dollars.

I think you will be ok...

I wouldn't worry about it for a second. I doubt a renegade Ford employee decided to take it out to do some Fast and Furious driving, then left a note.

Just to save you some worry, even when we started building the new for 2007 Edge, and then the new Flex with the Ecoboost engine, and now the new for 2011 Edge,.......................

The factory drivers DO NOT beat on the cars from what I have seen. All their doing is checking for things that might have not been noticed before. They aren't driving them to beat the shait out of them! Like OAC Sparky said, their looking for squeaks and rattles, any noises that shouldn't be there. That's all! That's why they pick random cars off the line, just to make sure quality is the same all the same through!

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!

AND they put over 500 miles on it, for testing before you get it! .. just some FYI..

I would think this would be a real good thing...

They had someone (who must be in the know) extra test your car...

If they found anything... they corrected it before you got...

sum up...bonus quality test...cool paper showing this...well done!

They probably just did a few powershifts smacking the rev limiter, brake stands and 3rd gear burnouts I wouldn't sweat it bro.

This.

I had it in my 1994 Ranger. I was good with it.

I can't see this. Mine was taken out on a test and the delivery was not affected.

Unless they found something really wrong with your car?

I really wouldn't worry about it, my car was built two weeks sooner and it only finally shipped out last Tuesday. You still haven't done worse than me, let alone half the other buyers and like someone said it's not even the end of the month yet. In the grand scheme of things your car wasn't ordered too long ago, Joker, nor was it built too long ago, compared to a lot of orders. The delays may just be due to the transportation queue, putting your car off until relatively later. I mean really they said they were trying to do things in order and have it done by the end of the month, that implies some cars won't get shipped until closer to the end of the month. It's probably just that it happened to be you. Dunno about Kahdir though, but his car got built relatively late for some reason.

It might be more useful to stress over financing. I should have looked into this better than I did and sooner, and right now I'm not sure I'll even be able to pick up my car. Why? "Insufficient Credit History."
