Long story short: That was a fast truck! The minute I reached down he floored it outta there!

I couldn't catch him if I tried.
Diesel trucks can get really fast! I work on diesel trucks for a living and I've seen some crazy ones

I played a little with an SRT8 Charger yesterday (6.1) ... it had modded exhaust and not sure what else, I only have the GT500 mufflers and no other drivetrain/exhaust mods, but I easily kept up with him after he floored it, and I'm pretty sure I was actually catching him, but these were short bursts of acceleration, him in front, on 1-lane roads ... we gave each other thumbs up and turned in different directions ... fun over lol

Of course. It's the most comfortable luxury car I've ever driven. The mark levinson package is the second best surround sound system I've had with my TL having the best sound. Great car!

Had a 60 year old white trash idiot try to race me at three different stop lights this morning. He was in a 20 ish year old civic si. The only modifications i could detect on his car appeared to have been done in low speed impacts... would have been close of I had gone for it..

I could care less if someone attempted to bait me into a dual on the streets. I know what I have under the hood, and I know I have a monster sized manhood so there's no need for me to bust out the ego.

Just had some wet behind the ears teenager trying me in his red Acura integra w/ Honda emblems. I ignored him and the dude still almost killed himself accelerating from 0 to 40 mph....

I read pretty much every auto rag available, and I've never seen a stock ISF make those kinds of numbers. They're usually around 4.6 to 60 and 13 sec quarter--certainly not slow, but definitely not faster than a stock 5.0 unless it's something like a high geared and heavy 3.31 vert.

I had a SRT300C cut me off and then when we took off from the light he floored it. I let him go a little then reeled him in and waved. At the next light he kept going, much slower this time and I turned left.

Oh, yeah. I've been in the Army for 16 years and it amazes me how many Soldiers speed on post. When I was in VA, I had a soldier tried to race his Mustang against mine and the speed limit was only 25mph. I will say the Mustang seems to attract some idiots that either don't care or seem to have no understanding of what the 5.0 is capable of.

i get guys in dodges and silverado's pulling up beside me at a light or on the highway while im in my fx4/ecoboost. i don't race them though, but instead drive smarter throughout the traffic and end up in front of them anyway. it's too dangerous racing on public roads. I do get alot of challenges while on my ducati or aprilia, but more often it's someone driving beside me and staring at my bike. makes me a bit nervous, but proud too. Being in hickville alberta i'm sure i'll get the odd challenge when the stang arrives. I won't be baited though. we have helicopters here too and on the prairies, there's nowhere to hide. not to mention they can impound vehicles for doing more than 40 over.

I have noticed that folks who drive Hondas (civic si, s2000), Subaru (wrx, sti), Mitsubishi (evos) love to f*ck around. Hondas always cut me off, rev their engine beside me, or tail me no matter what car I am in. I currently drive a BMW X3 35i, but I would occasionally drive my brother’s stage 2 GTR R35. Most of the time I would just ignore them, but I get pissed off at times when they cut me off and break immediately or been on my *** too close for too long. Then I d check my surroundings for cops and floor it, leave them in the dusts.
But once I was driving my Bimmer (chipped), and this heavily tuned evo totally smoked me, it was embarrassing. We will see how things turns out after I receive my stang.

Thanks to them, I realized that a 5.4L Titan is really not as mean as it appears. I think I could jog faster than one of those boats.
I have this same problem with big trucks, dunno .

Even a stock IS 350 is no slouch off the line. Had one pull almost 2 car lengths on me from a stop before I even hit second gear when I had my stang at 430rwhp. When I got home I researched and saw that they come in AWD so that must have been how he launched so hard off the line. I was shocked

Yepper. It was not my intent for this thread to be a "post your street racing stories". I just started the thread to show my disgust for individuals that do, or try to start it, and my experience with the individual that tried to, with me. I have no problem if you close the thread... I think it's served its purpose.

thanks.

I watched some U-Tube videos of how people crashed their Mustangs doing something real minor but it got out of hand real quick. When somebody wants to tempt me, I go slower and let them go. I don't want to see my car a mangled heap.
