I had a tuned Camaro try to egg me on for about 3 street lights before he gave up. It was kinda funny watching him try to get my attention for the first 30 seconds. Then it just got annoying. I'm still in my 20s but I'm not stupid enough to street race. Not worth the risk. Especially when I can pay $20 to race all I want at the California speedway lol.

Occasionally Hondas harass me on the freeway. That's when they find out they're missing the other half of their engine...

can't be as bad as if we all drove vette's, talk about a target on your back... coming from japanese cars before (as zto5 obviously has) i think a lot of us know that these guys get a real hard on when provoking american muscle. point being: they have something to prove, not us.

A stock 5.0 can easily run sub 4.5 to 60 and a high 12 sec quarter. Now modify the 5.0 a little bit and see how it does against that modified ISF.
I'm pretty sure the ISF does 0-60 in 4.2 or so and the 1/4 mile in the mid 12's... Stock for stock, I think the ISF beats a 5.0

Same here with the trucks, basically the only things that have revved at me in the 500 are lifted trucks, and sport bikes. For some reason Camaro drivers look, see what it is, then try to avoid eye contact. I usually wave at them, lol. Challenger drivers usually nod or throw their hand up, and I do the same. And I got a thumbs up from a guy in a Viper a while back.

This. When you know for sure you're gonna win, there's no point in racing

Yes coming from driving imports all my life, I don't understand all this hate lol...both ways. I love all cars... But when I drove myG and my Z, I had stangs and Camaros do this to me, and now that I have my stang, imports do it to me. I can't win lol

I couldn't catch him if I tried.
My cousin has a highly modified ram 2500 cummins. It's badass. He just put a new turbo on it and a ton of other mods and took it to the dyno. 557hp 988 ft lbs of Torque. Lets just say it's pretty quick for a truck lol

Good control by you Zto5... I wouldn't get too worked up about a Lexus but my testosterone takes over and I usually can't resist a temptation like this to leave the guy wondering what he was thinking....

I had a Porsche TT rev me this week. It contained two 17 year old boys. Nothing phases me but in this case I flipped them off at the light when they pulled right next to me laughing at me. I can't stand kids in daddy's car.

I don't have any real world numbers to reference, so we're just going to have to rely on the various rags for comparison numbers.

I'm 28 and have a 10 Lexus es350,...I'm not middle aged. So "typical" is innacurate.

Had a middle aged guy follow me pretty closely after I had a 'spirited' launch up a 2 lane route that eventually goes to one after about a 1/4 mile. Think it was a Hyundai Genesis, the one with a V8 and over 400hp. Not bad for a luxury sedan, but it was fun to see him keeping close to me. Not riding up your rear end close, but near enough that it was obvious that he was trying to keep up with me. I wasn't trying anything, so I stabbed the gas a bit to see if he wanted to go a little faster, sure enough he did.

I then coasted back to the speed limit and traffic eventually stopped about a mile ahead where the left and right turns each had their own lanes. He was going right so I looked over as he pulled up to the light and he just said 'nice car' and went on his way. It's nice to have a tiny bit of fun without tempers flaring or anyone driving to endanger the public...

Never been along side anything that wanted to rev engines at a stop light. A few nice new Camaro's I've seen have been cool enough to give a thumbs up. Been having a good time these past 4 months with the new Boss, will miss it when I garage it for the winter.

Good for you. My story had nothing to do with you. IMO, the driver that I saw was, indeed, a "typical" middle age Lexus driver. One of umpteen million I see around here. So yes, typical.

I plan on science coming up with something to turn back time, so I might be middle aged now, but in 25 years I could be a youngling.
